The most important thing about working with vacuum and pressure vessels is that you have to be good at welding and engineering. There are many vacuum jacketed vessels that cannot fail or there will be a lot of problems. It is the same thing when working with ASME pressure vessels.

The big part of processes is usually the piping. Process piping is an integral system that you need to understand and be able to integrate successful. You also have many pressure vessels that you can use for certain aspects of the process control mechanisms.

1. To Whom It May Concern:
Please consider my CV for the advertised position. I am a keen self starter with a
good sense of humour which is balanced with a very strong work ethic and a can do
attitude.
I strongly believe in working safely to produce quality work, completed to industry
standards and regulations.
I take personal pride in the finished product of any task entrusted to me. I have
worked self employed for some considerable time and just recently have worked as
part of small and larger teams.
My strengths lie in the repair/fault finding both in the electrical and mechanical
aspects of control systems for gas, plumbing and central heating, aswell as delivering
quality work with consistency.
My background is as a British Gas trained, Gas Service Engineer, with over 25 year’s
experience, 20 years of which have been in NZ. Installing, commissioning and testing
the operation of gas appliances, central heating and associated plumbing. And have
just served the last three years of my career working in a remotely sited 32 MW
hydro-power station taking on new and varied projects, including industrial hi-
pressure water and high voltage electrical work.
I was the Health & Safety Rep for the power station and participated, and I would
like to think contributed, in regular group national meetings with the other station
reps remotely over a “Link” system and together in person.
I am experienced in having several projects on the go at any one time, aswell as
covering new more responsive and reactive work as it arises.
I am enthusiastic for up-skilling and retraining and am computer literate.
I enjoy learning new skills and passing these skills on to the next generation, I also
relish a challenge. I would also be keen to secure a move off the tools, in a more
managerial position, in due time.
My last role became disestablished due to a restructure and a “de-manning” of the
Power Station.
If I can clarify or answer any queries please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best Regards Paul Gee.
