To whom it may concern:
I am writing to fill the position as a wind turbine technician. My combination of
education and hands on troubleshooting skills, paired with my passion to become a wind
turbine technician makes me the perfect candidate for the position.
My certificate in wind energy technology and experience as a lead field service engineer
has provided me with the training and skillset needed to fulfill my goal of starting a
career as a wind turbine technician.
At Buhler I play an important role representing the company and providing each
customer with the professionalism and technical expertise they demand in order to reduce
downtime. Recently I was chosen and trusted to provide eight months of production
support and customer training at a brand new casting facility. In addition to my proven
electrical, hydraulic and-mechanical troubleshooting skills, I have extensive hands on
training and experience with wiring, programming and troubleshooting PLC’s and
installing various SCADA systems. One of many responsibilities for my job is to travel to
customer’s facilities to provide staff with support in diagnosing and repairing any issues
causing downtime. My ability to analyze complex problems and take a logical and
systematic approach when searching for a solution will play a major roll as I make the
transition into the wind energy industry.
I am extremely passionate about fulfilling my dream of becoming a wind turbine
technician. I have spent the past five years acquiring the hands on training and problem
solving skills that make me a perfect fit for the job. I am confident that I am fully
qualified and physically capable for this position and if given the opportunity I will be a
valuable attribute to your company's growing success. I hope this letter conveys the
enthusiasm I have for obtaining this position. If you have any questions please feel free to
reach me via cell phone or email. I plan to follow up next week and would love to set up
an interview. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Matthew Mavis
