PERSONAL PROFILE__________________________________
I’m currently working as an Account Manager on the Enhanced Middle Office team at Citco
Fund Services Ltd. My focus within the teamis split between2 key areas:Trade Affirmations
and Treasury / Cash Management. I have been employed at Citco since February 2012,

and handling all capital activity across our funds.
I have recently been awarded my CFA charter after passing all 3 exams on the first attempt.
These exams were extensive in material and meticulous in detail. Through completing these
exams I have gained a broad range of practical portfolio management and investment
analysis skills as well as a high level understanding of financial markets.

Term of Employment: February 2012 - Current
Current Position held: Account Manager
Key roles and responsibilities – Trade Affirmations:
Monitoring the trade life cycle from trade capture through to security settlement. Our process
starts as soon as trades are executed by our clients after which they load via GTL into our
back office software. We affirm a pre-agreed list of core trade economics that are dictated by
instrument type. The affirmation check is done against executing broker trade recaps, PB

portal trade activity reports or a third party vendor such as Omgeo CTM in the case of equity
and fixed income trades or Harmony Triana for swaps.
Escalation of economic breaks to the IM in order to match trades executed with the
counterparty. For equity and fixed income this is key to the security settlements function
where I oversee the fails management process investigating the reasons for unsettled trades,
be it counterparty short of stock, invalid settlement instructions, or processing issues at the
custodian / prime broker.
As Account Manager I assist with the on-boarding of new clients. This requires constant
interaction with the client and their prime brokers to specify service level requirements in
advance of going into a live environment. Once live I act as a main point of contact for client
queries and take responsibility for dispute resolution. Through servicing a range of clients
I’ve gained exposure to a number of Hedge Fund strategies and seen how the IM utilises
various instruments throughout the changing economic landscape. These strategies include
Equity Long/Short, Global Macro,Event Driven and Multi-Strategy.
Working with the management team to train and oversee newhires aswell asassisting current
staff to meet daily deliverables. As AM on the team I am responsible for ensuring staff have
the skills required to meet daily deliverables. I personally train new hires, act as first point of
escalation for team queries, decide on client cover and put forward and approve any internal
training department training days.
Effectively communicate with the necessary business units such as Collateral, Treasury,

client deliverables, internal status reports, communication with prime brokers and executing
brokers and de-risking the process of sending sensitive client data externally.
Compiling monthly statistics outlining trade volumes and performance for both the IM in
trade booking and the counterparties for trade settlement. These statistics are aimed at giving
the IM key breakdowns that assists with ongoing counterparty review for trade execution.
This function requires detailed analysis of client trade activity in order to evaluate and
highlight possible issues.
Key roles and responsibilities – Treasury / Cash Management:
Processing bilateral settlements across a range of instruments including CDS, FX, equity
swaps, repo coupons and OTC options. Our in house PaymentsSystem automatically imports
any pending settlements based on mappings that we develop. We confirm the core details of
the settlement to the counterparty and process settlement at the earliest possible value date.
Excellent time management is a requisite for this role as we need to adhere to the various
currency cut-offs at each clients’ lead primer broker. Also required are strong organisational
skills as I work on a large number of funds simultaneously and must ensure that each one
receives the necessary level of attention.
Ownership of setting up counterparty SSIs and ensuring they are in acceptable SWIFT
format. We maintain connectivity between our Payments System and the SWIFT network to
ensure electronic processing of all settlements. I am highly trained in regards SWIFT
formatting and message types. The message types our PS has the ability to send include
MT202, MT210, MT292 MT199, MT192 and MT103.
The Cash Management service we provide involves indicating margin requirements which is
used for analysing trade selection, and highlights the available capital after margin
requirements have been met, which can then be used for other investments. In the event of a
margin deficit we instruct wire transfersto fund the account. This involves sourcing the funds
at the client’s other PB / FCM relationships and setting up the requisite SSIs in our Payments
System. We also pay any third party invoices billed to our clients.
I have acted as team lead on the business end for the development of our in house Cash
Management Tool application. As a result I was primarily responsible for specifying the
requirements as well as testing any and all new developments to the point of production
release in a live environment. This application receives trade date files from the clients’
