Students created passports describing where they are from, a place they have traveled to, and a place they want to visit. They used past, present and future tenses to describe these places. This allowed students to share information about themselves with their classmates and helped assess their writing levels. The class viewed a map showing where everyone was from, with about half having lived long-term in Shanghai, demonstrating the diversity of the group.
