Editor's Notes
- The current committee is comprised of researchers from each home nation, discipline, and Vitae hub.
- In addition, the UKRSA is closely allied to Vitae, and representatives from the University and College Union and Vitae Research Staff Development Advisory Group sit on the committee. A representative from RIN has joined our committee as well, and we have close ties to our sister association in the Republic of Ireland.
- Our mission can be summarized in two words: communities and policy.
- UKRSA hopes to nurture ocal and regional research staff associations, e.g. the ScotHERD Researchers Forum.
- The UKRSA engages researchers through several social networking sites, including LinkedIn and Facebook. In addition, we share ideas, events and content of interest to researchers through the Vitae Research Staff Blog and Twitter. By creating an online community for researchers, the UKRSA is able to survey the opinions of the UK research staff community on matters of policy. We also have a presence on the Nature Network.
