placing landscape elements throughout
designs, but understanding how they are
constructed and detailed in plan. Apart
from this wall detail I have done work with

1 rainwater along the green roof is collected and sent down a rainchain.
2 water is sent into runnels that run through the patio area.
3 rainwater is sent through scuppers and trickles down to the sculpture garden
below.
4 a river rock and plant filled swale runs along the base of the wall to collect the
rainwater from the scuppers and allow for evapotransporation to occur.
5 water is collected in a piping system and sent to a cistern.
6 rainwater from run-off is stored in a cistern.
7 water is pumped from the cistern back to the green roof of the forum to repeat
the process and create a constant running system for aesthetics.
8 when the cistern fills up, excess water flows into the existing stormwater
system.
9 solar panels provide electricity to run water pumps, as well as exterior and
interior lighting.
