Golf Course Design
Design a golf course follows certain principals, for instance; the
numbers of holes 9, 19 or 27 are common, par value of each course,
distance of tee and green and these days front nine hole and back nine
hole designed fairways are most adopting concept, it’s consisting a
separate loop beginning and complete the game at the club building.
Tee to hole distance are typically as follow: par 3 in 250 yard and

(Vice President) has joined Applied Green as a certified Water
technology & Irrigation Consultant for Golf Courses, Sports Field and
Landscaping, qualified in Agriculture Engineering from IIT Kharagpur,
India & Management from IIM Ahmadabad.
Arshiya Quershi:
(Landscape Architect) B. Arch & Master of Landscape Architecture
from CEPT Ahmadabad have experience of 8+ year Landscape

Pre – Construction: Feasibility & Inception, Design analysis as per
site soil & water test report and climatic conditions, Preparation of
BOQ & Costing, Enlisting agencies & supplier, Tendering &
Negotiations, Schedule of Execution.
Execution: Supervision of development work by our trained &
experienced turf manager / construction engineer / horticulturist /
landscape engineer at site. Co-ordination between head office, site and
project consultants, Critical path management, Quality control (Lab
test and training to site staff)
Grow-in Maintenance: Calculation of manpower requirement,
machine & tools, manure, fertilizer, insecticide, fungicide & micro-
nutrients etc. as per project area. Supervision by our trained turf
manager / landscape engineer / horticulturist full time as a client agent
to fulfill all project responsibilities. Arrange training program time to
time for site staff on green waste management, floriculture, care of
palm plants, plants pruning & shaping, identify disease & insect and

•In India has lot of opportunity to spread mini golf as an adventure,

•Type of soil: Test reports of soil identification at the time of
construction period; What % of Sand: Silt: Clay in soil (We can
rectify the soil issues through the nature of soil : Silt loam, silt clay
loam, silt clay, sandy clay, sandy clay loam, sandy loam, loamy
sand, clay loam & loam etc.)
•Bulk Density: What bulk density of soil has been maintained at
the time of earth work in the depth of 1.0mtr minimum? Soil weight
/cubic feet (If the soil is compacted, means bulk density will
increase, If bulk density is low means less water available in soil for
Grass plant and if bulk density do not maintain at the time
construction than after some time more undulation can occur on
Surface and Rodents can enter into the soil and consequently will
attract snakes & reptiles.
