1. Chocolate and Me
Cadbury or Whittaker? That the question we asking today! I had decided to
go with Whittaker which are made right here in New Zealand by Andrew &
Brian Whittaker, these are the reason why.
Amount of cocoa is the most significant in a chocolate bar. Whittaker’s
chocolate bar has 33% of cocoa. Which have a reasonable amount of,
sustainable, cocoa. They their bar contains 100% pure cocoa butter. Now
let’s look at Cadbury, Cadbury has 21% of cocoa, just 1% above minimum
amount that they could have in a chocolate bar. Cadbury bar also holds
vegetable fat and palm oil, which they assured that its “sustainable” safe!
Cadbury focuses the taste and having fun while eating their chocolate.
People expect to find chocolate luxurious and should melt in your hand. An
expert say that Cadbury chocolate are hush and sweet while for Whittaker
they say that is fun and have enjoyment to eat.
When we go buy something we want a good value for money and this go to
chocolate too. Whittaker sells their chocolate for $4.50 which contains 250
grams. Cadbury trade their 200 grams chocolate for $3.60. Both sellers have
their chocolate for 0.2 cent per gram. Cadbury and Whittaker used to have a
paper box but last year, Cadbury reduced their 50 grams from their normal
bar and had change to a cardboard box. Now is that Sustainable?
Where chocolates are manufacturing has a huge effect to New Zealand.
Whittaker is made in New Zealand. This had helped us in our National
income as they use New Zealand worker and milk. Cadbury is manufactured
in Australia but they claim that they use our local milk.
To sum up, Whittaker had great taste and good amount of cocoa while
Cadbury is a bigger manufacturer. Even thought Whittaker is a smaller
manufacturer than Cadbury. Whittaker has a great focus in their taste of
chocolate while Cadbury have lots of focus in their advertisement. That why
I love Whittaker.
