Two years ago to the day I was sitting on a golden sand beach on Penang Island, Malaysia, sipping on a coconut and watching the waves lapping the shore.
I had my iPad in my hand too and when I wasn’t gazing out to sea or enjoying the warmth of the sun on my face, I was reading Cameron Herold’s book Double Double; and more importantly, all about the power of a Painted Picture (which he’s recently renamed Vivid Vision).
Regardless of what you call it, the power of this exercise is unbelievable, and until you try it yourself you might not believe me. In a nutshell it’s like a vision board on steroids, but so much more valuable and a far higher percentage of actually turning your dreams into reality.
Two hours later, in an open air cafe overlooking that beach I had written my 3 year vision for my life and business. By the end of 2013 over 60% of what I’d stated I wanted to happen had come true, including having written and published my #No 1 bestselling book and making six figures in revenue.
To date the Painted Picture that I made public on Slideshare a few months later has had over 48,000 views and hundreds of downloads. It has also been a huge talking point with people I meet around the world and in my community.
It’s now a major part of my Freedom Plan program

This is my painted picture for Meme & Co for the year 2018. It is a manifesto for my business and brand, 3 years from today. By releasing it publicly, I am holding myself accountable in order to make it my reality.
I have over 18 years experience in sales, marketing and advertising, I climbed the corporate ladder and was committed to my career but my priorities changed when I had my children. My life became a struggle, trying to find a balance between wanting to retain my worth and independence in the workforce without compromising my ability to be a present and attentive mother. I found myself working in an intimidating and ultimately soul-destroying environment. It stripped me of my self esteem and my confidence; it was the strength of my children and the support of my husband that gave me the resolve to be resilient, to stand up for myself and stand up for my values. With a strong resolve never to go back to the corporate world as I had known and through commitment, perseverance and a passion to succeed, I found as one door closed behind me other doors opened in front of me.
It was this journey that gave me the motivation and the drive to create an opportunity for other women who want to be in control, who value their independence, who want to be empowered. My drive to keep a balance between work and my family life ultimately resulted in `taking a leap’ into the unknown and embarking on a personal journey of self reflection, new challenges and personal growth.
The name Meme & Co came from the name my son William use to call his sister Aimee when he couldn't pronounce it properly `Meme'. The Co represents William, my other daughter Jessica and my husband Tim. On a business level the Co represents all the partnerships connected to the company that Meme & Co has been built on.

33. I always try to
improve. I regularly surround myself with experts, colleagues and
influencers who are further along than I am. I look at their
successes and celebrate as I try to learn as much as possible. I
know that if they can do it then I can do it too.
I also make time for business retreats and education so that I can
always approach my business from a fresh perspective.
35. Commitment
In order to make sure I can serve the world, I am committing to
living as healthy as possible through nutrition and exercise. I
commit to spiritual practice of yoga, meditation and a course in
miracles. I also make sure to hydrate and work on my mindset as
much as I work on my body.
I take time every quarter to do a mini-retreat for myself – even if
it’s a local hotel I found on Groupon. I make sure to always make
sure I can travel and explore new places.
I give my body time to rest and embrace patience.
37. The best part
of life…
I make sure to spend time with family, friends and people who
matter to me via quality time, holidays and special occasions. I do
not use work as an excuse to avoid social outings. I have incredible
friends and family who get me and serve as a support system.
They also challenge me when necessary.
I am also in a loving and fulfilling relationship with a man who
adores me, respects me and loves freedom as much as I do.We
challenge each other and help each other grow.We support each
other in both life and business endeavors.
