Complex machines are comprised of many simple machines and often use electricity or fuel to operate. Common complex machines include microwaves, cars, clocks, bicycles, and airplanes. Simple machines like levers, inclined planes, and pulleys make daily tasks easier by reducing the amount of effort required. Levers have a rigid bar and different parts like the point of support and resistance force, while inclined planes and pulleys are also considered simple machines.
