1. Pacifica performance
The first week, we started off by memorising the primary dance, and the prius language. The boy instructors were Sema and Siua and the girls mentors were Sia and Leota.
Each lesson was gruelling, sweat spatted down our faces all because of the energy in the dances. Weeks passed by and with the eagerness and determination, we got through the pressure of the dances.
After an amount of training, when our grand performance was near. we suited up, then boys got dressed into their tupanu, most of the boys cherished their tupanu. Tupanu stands for pride in their culture. The girls wore gleaming lava-lavas and other cultural customs with different accessories, then bright colours stand for beauty. Our performance eventually arrived, the pressure built up. The boy performed the tuafaka’nuia and the girls performed the tau'olunga and the hula. After eight weeks we had finally finished our great experience and had lots of great memories.
