impact/influence
animal aid This is the UK’s largest animal rights group, They campaign against animal
abuse and to promote a cruelty free lifestyle. This has a big impact on
scientists it helps them to use their laboratory to experiment in other ways
to test products instead of using animals so it is an advantage for them
however on the other hand it makes it much for difficult for them as it costs
them much more than it would to test on animals.
greenpeace This is an independent global campaigning organization. They are known
to defend the natural world and also by exposing the environmental abuse
that goes on in this world and finding solutions to solve them. This also has
an impact on scientists achievements as it helps them to use their
knowledge and equipment to defend the environment and figuring ways
out to helps the earth.
LIFE This is an educational charity which helps to educate people who cannot
afford it ad are less fortunate by giving them the opportunity to get far in
life. In terms on scientific achievement and whether it has an impact or
influence on this, it does not really link together as it's all based on
education and getting it to the less fortunate however if it's a much broader
subject then it may have a positive impact on it all.
oxfam Oxfam is a charity where they help the to transform communities whether
that's providing clean water to the community or provide desks and other
equipment for schools. Whether we admit it or not science is involved in
everything of our every day life and Oxfam is a prime example. Providing
things like taps and equipment for school a needs help from scientists and
helps to gather a recognition of scientists.
Cancer
research
Cancer research is a charity which helps to raise money for scientists to
find a cure to help beat cancer. This has a massive influence on the
achievements of science and in the recognition of scientific
achievements as it uses the money to find out cures to help cure cancer
and it needs a lot of help from scientists in laboratories.
