- Scripting for measuring performance using 'Navigation Timing' & 'User Timing'.
The next generation JavaScript doesn't need to dependent on browser, that's just like other programming language. Node.js is it, no need browser, based on fastest V8 JavaScript Engine and provides many APIs for system integration. It can be used to server-side and system, even more purpose.
Server side scripting smack down - Node.js vs PHPMarc Gear
Talk given to the audience at to the PHP London User Group June 2011
Rather than a comparison of the two languages this is actually an introduction to Node.js intended to be from the perspective of someone who already knows quite a bit about PHP, covering and comparing common concepts between the two and explaining differences in approaches.
The talk was given in a pub, after several drinks, do please forgive my lax presentation style.

Java is one of the most popular languages and it's very important to understand the performance of Java servers. Modern JVMs compile the Java code in runtime using Just-In-Time (JIT) compiler and such JIT compiled code runs very close to optimized native code in terms of speed.
When understanding performance, it's important to know how Java works and we can also measure the performance using key metrics like Throughput and Latency. After measuring the performance, we can use profilers to understand the application behavior and find performance bottlenecks.
In this session, we will look at how Java manages the memory and how it optimizes the Java code using JIT compilation. We will also look at how we can use the Java Flight Recorder (JFR) to profile the JVM and find performance bottlenecks.
Finally, we can look at how "Flame Graphs" can be used to identify the most frequent code-paths quickly and accurately.

Beyond Resizing: The Image Performance Checklist
We all know that website performance is important (way important!), did we mention important, because we meant important. And we all know that images and web-fonts are the two biggest contributors to a web page's size. So, we resize our images, and we're done!
Well... not quite. In the last few years, we've made tremendous improvements in image performance, but which technolgies and techniques are "the best" to focus on? We have image formats, image tooling, image compression, HTTP compression, HTTP2, HEIC and HEIF, guetzli and webp, HTML5, srcset and sizes and image-sets, SSL, sharding, caching and loading and preloading, and, well, just not loading anything at all. And that's just a start!
All of these choices available to us, all of the recommendations, how can we make sense of what do? Let's explore.
Web Performance Madness - brightonSEO 2018Bastian Grimm

Page freeze, glitchy animation, and slow scrolling. They follow us everywhere, and we'd like them to stop. This talk will get to the bottom of these issues by delving into the Javascript engine and concepts like task, call-stack, and event-loops. I will also introduce several ways to tackle these problems and walk you through a demo to help you understand.
GDG DevFest 2017 - Inspections of Kotlin implementations by Bytecode.
1. Bytecode 포맷에 따른 JVM(안드로이드 포함)
Node.js
3. llvm

GDG Cloud Southlake #33: Boule & Rebala: Effective AppSec in SDLC using Deplo...James Anderson
Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
