TRVST the last plastic straw. Chose eco-friendly straws or just say no to sin...TRVST
We create a huge amount of plastic each and every day a great deal of which is discarded. According to UK waste management body, WRAP, we get through 100 million tonnes of the stuff every year. That’s a 50% increase since the 1950s.
Certainly, straws are only a small part of the problem. Not least they are lightweight and small. However, they’ve also come to signify quite how wasteful we can be. Most of the time we don’t really need straws. The convenience of not having to bring a cup to our lips is certainly something that we could do without. There are of course exceptions, especially in certain physical and medical circumstances.
The thing with plastic straws is that they are not easily recycled. Their lightweight means that the big processing machines often don’t actually end up processing them even if they have made it into the recycling bin. They also often end up blowing out of bins or landfill into the surrounding nature or our oceans.
It’s said that we get through a staggering 500 million plastic straws in a day in the US. All those takeaway meals and cocktail served complete with plastic straws all add up.
Marine life is also negatively affected by our plastic straws use and disposal. The UN reports that more than 800 animal species are affected by marine debris.
Things are changing, however. The EU is banning single-use plastics by 2021. Even McDonalds are rolling our paper straws. So it’s time to finally bid the plastic straw farewell. There are now viable alternatives and choosing eco-friendly straws just makes sense. We have a lot more to do than simply worry about straws. All the same these highly visible single-use plastic suckers help raise awareness of plastic waste. And of course, each less straw washed up on our beaches or harming marine life is a good thing!

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.

Title: Global warming
Global Warming, the biggest environmental problem in today’s time, it has focused all
people’s mind as this issue is increasing day by day and has been proved a big disaster for us
in future. Thus, need full attention from each and every sector of world. Situation of Global
Warming occurs when the temperature of earth average surface exceeds beyond limit due to
increased quantity of greenhouse gases like Carbon Dioxide, Methane, Nitrous Oxide and
Sulphur Dioxide in atmosphere which traps and absorbs the heat coming from sun and
reflects towards earth.
Due to Global Warming, the sea level is also becoming higher and hotter thus causes more
water vapour to be formed in atmosphere. This water vapour also causes more heating by
absorbing heat. And due to higher level of sea, possibility of floods may occur and lead the
situation of flood in low layer coastal areas.
Solution cannot be achieved by a small group of people but require the whole world to be
united in order to defeat this universal environmental problem. Some of the ways are given
here which can reduce the possibility of Global Warming like plantation of trees, proper and
limited use of natural resources of water, coal, electricity and habit of using the renewal
energy which are solar, wind and hydro electrical, in order to create an awareness about this
department of ECE conducted awareness program on “Global Warming” at Gov middle
school, padalam the various events was conducted such as, mime to create an awareness
about save electricity, save water, save trees and renewal energy sources ,Song to create
awareness about cleanliness and nature, Speech was given by our final year students what are
the ways to stop global warming and what we need to do ? how we need to do?
Speech was given by ECE final year students about global warming and its side effects and
they provide a solution how to stop it and what are the way to reduce the global warming.
2. Mime was done by ECE second and third year students about how to reduce the usage of
water, electricity and what are the small mistacks we done in day to day activitites and how to
stop them at final they indicate about importance of farmers and their contributation for our
society.
Song was sung by second and final year students about cleanliness and nature. They sung
about importance of cleanliness and nature.

Title: Arivom Tamizh
Tamil is a Dravidian language spoken predominantly by Tamil people of South India
and North-east Sri Lanka. It has official status in the Indian states of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry
and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Tamil is also a national language of Sri Lanka and an
official language of Singapore It is legalized as one of the languages of medium of education
in Malaysia along with English, Malay and Mandarin. It is also chiefly spoken in the states of
Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands as one of the
secondary languages. Even though the 20’s kids found difficulty to learn tamil and not
interested in tamil language in order to improve their interest we have conducted an
awareness program in “arivom tamizh” for school students and public.
5. On behalf ECE department our student Ms.Jothi 3rd
year has conducted essay writing and
speech event for her area students at vaiyavoor.
In arviom tamizh topic we have conducted survey among public about tamil and tamilnadu
related questions to know their knowledge about tamil language and tamilnadu related
questions.the survey counducted in and around the vaiyavoor area.

Title: Tree Plantation
Deforestation is one of the major threads destroying Forest and the species living
there. Trees play a major role in giving oxygen to the environment so that the survival of
living species carried out. But due to this increasing deforestation survival of living species
means to be questionable. The solution for retaining the survival of living species is only to
plant trees, every individual should take responsibility to plant a tree in his life time.
Tree plantation is good for the environment. Everyone knows that trees are the source
of oxygen. They inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen without which the survival of
living beings is not possible on earth.
Apart from inhaling carbon dioxide trees also absorb various harmful gases including
sulfur dioxide and carbon monoxide and also filter harmful pollutants from the atmosphere
thereby providing us fresher and cleaner air to breath. The growing amount of air pollution
caused by the smoke emitted by vehicles and factories can be controlled only if we plant
more and more trees. Tree plantation is important now a days to stop global warming, On
behalf of ECE department we had conducted awareness program for school students about
tree plantation , as a first step we had conducted drawing competition for school students.
7. To give proper guideline, we had motivated school students to plant trees and
maintain the same in their area and they are promised that they will pour water daily to their
tree and they ensure that as we grow tree will grow as like as.
8. On successful plantation by the children’s, the local area people also showed their interest in
plantation of trees.

Title: Avoid Plastic
Plastic is like a common commodity which is essential in our daily lives. Bakelite, nylon and
rubber are some examples of synthetic plastics. Almost everything is made of plastic! They are very
convenient to use because of their malleability and plasticity. They can be easily moulded by heating.
Plastic product may be non-toxic, but some small amounts of the chemicals remain trapped in the
product. As a result, when these plastics come in contact with food stuffs, the chemicals mix with the
food which we subsequently consume. Plastics are non-biodegradable solids. When we burnt, they
release some toxic fumes which cause ozone depletion and pollution; many chemicals are released
into the air as well as into water.
All these bear hazardous environmental consequences. Plastics are made of crude oil and can
be used as fuel. One litter of hydrocarbon is produced from one kilogram of plastic waste. Over 1
trillion plastic bags are used every year worldwide. Consider China, a country of 1.3 billion, which
consumes 3 billion plastic bags daily, according to the news. About 1 million plastic bags are used
every minute. More than 3.5 million tons of plastic bags, sacks and wraps were discarded in 2008.
Plastic bags remain toxic even after they break down.
On behalf of ECE department we had conducted awareness program for public to stop usage
of plastic and bit notice issued for school students and public to create awareness among them.
10. Notice issued for parents and school students to create awareness among them

Title: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (RRR)
Pollution is making our environment not only dirty but also becoming harmful for the
people. The effect is posing threat on our survival. We can notice spread litters here and there
on the roads, parks and several other public places. These wastes are because of our
unintelligent, careless and thoughtless use of food products and other usable things. This
makes the public places dirty as well as bad looking for the visitors. Recent survey shows that
use of packets food, water bottles have increased at an alarming rate in many countries
including India. The word waste means to use or expend carelessly. There are predominantly
two types of wastes- Biodegradable and non-biodegradable. Biodegradable wastes can easily
mix with soil whereas non-biodegradable wastes do not mix with soil. Plastic is the best
example of non-biodegradable waste.
Recent human lifestyle practice shows that for certain food products its use is still
unavoidable e.g. sweets, curd, junk food etc. In many countries including India use of thin
plastic bags are banned. But it is not completely discarded by our society. We have to work
out more in this direction to check land pollution. We have to reduce the use of pollutants of
our daily use. There are other options of using cloth, newspaper and jute bags to replace
plastic bags. But care should be taken to recycle newspaper otherwise it will badly impact
trees. Recycle (or Recycling) is only possible with the study of waste management.
The main solution for all type of pollution, public need to be alert in order to create
awareness among public, on behalf of ECE department we had conducted awareness program
for school students to create awareness among government school students padalam.
Our students made a robot using waste bottles, and craft items are displayed for school
students
12. Speech was given by our student about RRR .
School students gave their understanding about RRR and answerd for various reduce ,reuse and
recycle related qustions.
