New year english
Moldova has unique New Year traditions shaped by its culture and history. For New Year's Eve, Moldovans drink sparkling wine at midnight and put wishes in pastries. Children believe gifts are from Ded Moroz. Christmas on January 7th is less celebrated. In Romania, people make noise and carry garlic to ward off evil spirits. The first visitor of the new year affects your luck. Russians decorate with trees, food attracts prosperity, and they make wishes at midnight. Traditions aim to scare away evil spirits.
Traditions in Slovakia

Christmas celebrations in Greece typically involve caroling from door to door in the weeks leading up to December 23rd, when school holidays begin. On Christmas Eve, families attend morning mass and have a large feast at noon that usually includes roast turkey or chicken, salads, and sweets like "kourabiedes" and "melomakarona". New Year's Eve is celebrated with food and music in town squares and homes. Traditions include singing songs at midnight to mark the new year and cutting a "Vasilopita" pie with a coin inside for luck. Epiphany on January 6th involves a priest blessing the waters by throwing a cross in the sea for people to retrieve.

Christmas in Czech Republic
1) Everyone looks forward to Christmas in December, when they get Advent calendars with sweets to eat each day and light candles on Advent wreaths each Sunday before Christmas.
2) Popular Christmas decorations include gingerbread ornaments, Bethlehems, and cottages.
3) On December 24th, families have a large ceremonial dinner with traditions like putting coins under plates and floating boats made of walnut shells in water. After dinner, children excitedly open presents from Baby Jesus under the Christmas tree.
4) Families visit each other on December 25th and 26th, exchange gifts, and enjoy festive meals and outdoor activities like skiing while children play with new toys.

Concert scenario

Christmas i will always remember
Dariia Shkulii spent one of her best Christmases at the home of friends in Mykulichin. The friends, who are Christians known for helping disadvantaged animals and people, invited Dariia and her parents to celebrate Christmas at their fairy-like house in the forest. They enjoyed a delicious Ukrainian Christmas meal together along with rare tropical fruits, watched films, fed the friends' 13 rescued pets, and shared mysterious stories by the fire. Dariia felt warm emotions as if with family and is grateful to her friends for the wonderful holiday experience.

Memory - meeting in Norway, Emilia and Weronika.
We had an early morning flight from Cracow to Warsaw, then a connecting flight to Oslo where we had a long layover. We then stayed with a host family in Mindsund, Norway. During our stay we represented our country, ate meals prepared by Norwegian students, and played games. We visited several tourist sites including the Atlantic Road, Kristiansund, and climbed local mountains. We also went to an oceanarium, cooked, and visited the city of Alesund. On our last day, we took a boat trip, fished, kayaked, and had a farewell dinner before flying back to Poland. Our stay in Norway was an interesting cultural experience.

Our happy family

- 2. I would like to tell you about my family. My name is Olexiy Svyrydov. I have a big family. It consists of 4 people: my dad Andrew, my mother Nadiya, my little brother Andrew and me. We have a nice cat Masya and 2 parrots.
- 3. We like to spend time travelling with our friends. Last year we visited some interesting places: Askania– Nova, Kam’yana Mohyla and Khortytsia Island.
- 4. Askania–Nova is the most famous nature reserve in Ukraine.
- 5. There are many different animals and birds.
- 6. Kam’yana Mohyla – it’s a state reserve near Melitopol. There you can see many big and small stones.
- 7. Khortytsia Island is a nice town– museum.
- 8. Every summer our family go to the seaside. We swim in the sea, sunbathe and build sand castles on the beach.
- 9. Our favourite holiday is New Year. My brother and I usually decorate our house and the New Year’s tree. We get many presents! I like to celebrate holidays with my friendly family. We are happy when we are together!
