eTwinning Project “Reading, thinking, creating... Action!” (Portugal and Turkey)
We are all different, but special
Jane, a fifteen years old teen is tired of her monotonous life: school,
painting lessons, to study and to study. Her parents wouldn't let her do
what she really liked to do, riding her horse Silver, because they wanted
her to become a talented artist. One day, when she was walking through
her school's corridor she eard some strange noises. -Bum! Ah! Blah! Chin!
"What the hell is happening?"- Jane asked herself. Then she came closer
to the door of the room where the strange activity was occurring. When she could place her
eyes in a small crack a weird face was starring at her.
- Buuuu! - a boy screamed.
- Buuuh!? Who are you and what are you doing here? - the girl questioned.
- Hummmmm... Nothing... Much...- the boy started shyly - Oh, and my name
is Alfred! - now he was smiling.
Then an odd sound invaded the room and some pieces looking like gears
jumped.
- That doesn't sound like anything. - Jane replied mocking.
The boy rose. He was wearing protection glasses that made his eyes look huge. Besides, his face
was covered by black dust and with is shaggy hair he had the perfect scientist look.
- Well, why don't you go outside and be with your friends?
- Friends? Huh, I don't think I have any...
There was a pause. Alfred was starring at the ground with a sad look.
-That's not true! You now have me!
The boy smiled.
- And why aren't you with your friends? - Alfred asked suddenly.
- Hummmm...- she rose - Well I guess my school mates can't get along with me because they
thing I'm not worth to spend time with. They are used to calling me the brownish girl and
laughing at me.
- Let it be, you are very pretty! I really like your colour. - said Alfred.
- Thank you, you are very nice! And thou? Why don't you have any friends? - said the girl.
- Because I'm gypsy and they don't like me. They think I'm bad, they look at me as if I were a
thief and I will hit people.

- Do not worry, I'm not like them. I respect everybody.I'd like that they treat me well too, they
call me mulatto and people treat me badly. I am very sad!
- I have an idea - said the boy - We will show others that we do things that they do not know.
Tell me something you do very well.
- I can ride horses very well and you?
- I do awsome experiments. I have even made a perfume!
Oh great! Let's do it - said Jane.
They find a horse to ride. Jane ride it very well and Alfred sit back to here.They both riding and
show the others.Everybody impressed much. They didn't know how can ride a horse and drive
it well.
- Look everybody looking for us - Jane said.
- I said you, Jane, everybody has own magic! - Alfred said.
- Everybody will respect us!...
Now it's my turn. - said Alfred - Let's go my workshop and do a experiments for a magic perfume.
They worked much on it. Soon they made a magic perfume.
Oh nice everywhere smells awesome and everybody started to respect eachtother. They can't
believe themself. Everybody asking who made this awesome magic.
Alfred smiling and Jane said:
- Come on guys, Alfred did it!
Everbody silent and they understand that everybody has own character. Everybody must respect
eachother.
Jane is very happy and she thinks she is very lucky to meet Alfred... and Alfred thinks the same

Our collaborative story

  • 1. eTwinning Project “Reading, thinking, creating... Action!” (Portugal and Turkey) We are all different, but special Jane, a fifteen years old teen is tired of her monotonous life: school, painting lessons, to study and to study. Her parents wouldn't let her do what she really liked to do, riding her horse Silver, because they wanted her to become a talented artist. One day, when she was walking through her school's corridor she eard some strange noises. -Bum! Ah! Blah! Chin! "What the hell is happening?"- Jane asked herself. Then she came closer to the door of the room where the strange activity was occurring. When she could place her eyes in a small crack a weird face was starring at her. - Buuuu! - a boy screamed. - Buuuh!? Who are you and what are you doing here? - the girl questioned. - Hummmmm... Nothing... Much...- the boy started shyly - Oh, and my name is Alfred! - now he was smiling. Then an odd sound invaded the room and some pieces looking like gears jumped. - That doesn't sound like anything. - Jane replied mocking. The boy rose. He was wearing protection glasses that made his eyes look huge. Besides, his face was covered by black dust and with is shaggy hair he had the perfect scientist look. - Well, why don't you go outside and be with your friends? - Friends? Huh, I don't think I have any... There was a pause. Alfred was starring at the ground with a sad look. -That's not true! You now have me! The boy smiled. - And why aren't you with your friends? - Alfred asked suddenly. - Hummmm...- she rose - Well I guess my school mates can't get along with me because they thing I'm not worth to spend time with. They are used to calling me the brownish girl and laughing at me. - Let it be, you are very pretty! I really like your colour. - said Alfred. - Thank you, you are very nice! And thou? Why don't you have any friends? - said the girl. - Because I'm gypsy and they don't like me. They think I'm bad, they look at me as if I were a thief and I will hit people.
  • 2. eTwinning Project “Reading, thinking, creating... Action!” (Portugal and Turkey) - Do not worry, I'm not like them. I respect everybody.I'd like that they treat me well too, they call me mulatto and people treat me badly. I am very sad! - I have an idea - said the boy - We will show others that we do things that they do not know. Tell me something you do very well. - I can ride horses very well and you? - I do awsome experiments. I have even made a perfume! Oh great! Let's do it - said Jane. They find a horse to ride. Jane ride it very well and Alfred sit back to here.They both riding and show the others.Everybody impressed much. They didn't know how can ride a horse and drive it well. - Look everybody looking for us - Jane said. - I said you, Jane, everybody has own magic! - Alfred said. - Everybody will respect us!... Now it's my turn. - said Alfred - Let's go my workshop and do a experiments for a magic perfume. They worked much on it. Soon they made a magic perfume. Oh nice everywhere smells awesome and everybody started to respect eachtother. They can't believe themself. Everybody asking who made this awesome magic. Alfred smiling and Jane said: - Come on guys, Alfred did it! Everbody silent and they understand that everybody has own character. Everybody must respect eachother. Jane is very happy and she thinks she is very lucky to meet Alfred... and Alfred thinks the same Authors Portuguese (special needed) students from Agrupamento de Escolas Infanta D.
