INNOVATION NORWAY’S PLANS TOWARDS AND DURING  FIS NORDIC WORLD SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS OSLO 2011
 
Holmenkollen Ski Jump 2  Developer and host of Holmenkollen Ski Jump 2. Used this game to promote Norway and the event.  So far over 40 million jumps have been made after the re-launch of the game.  Competition launched; the person with the most points on Holmenkollen ski jump 2, wins a trip to Norway and tickets to the event.
Promotional material Produced a Norwegian and English brochure to help promote the event. Brochure circulated through IN offices, VisitOslo, the tourist information in Oslo and OSLO2011 networks. Produced a poster. Circulated through UD Offices abroad, VisitOslo, IN and Oslo 2011.  Marketing campaigns in relevant markets together with VisitOslo.
Press activities  MPC service during the World Cup 2010 Co-hosting of press party for World Cup 2010. Over100 international journalist present. Presented them to “Taste of Norway” Co-hosting of Forum Nordicum in October. Presented 100 journalist to a tour of Oslo and a Norwegian dinner sponsored by Marine Harvest on the deck of Fram, in the Fram museum.  Service at the Press Centre from 18 Feb – 6 march together with VisitOslo.
Press activities Electronic Press Kits available in press centre. Have staff in press centre during the whole event to help and assist the press. Show promotional films and info about Norway and Oslo in press centre. Organized international press trip before the event for prioritized markets  Organized press trip for Russian VGTRK from 24 – 29 Jan 2011 in cooperation with VisitOslo. ( VGTRK currently owns and operates 5 national television stations, 2 international networks, 5 radio stations and over 80 regional TV and radio networks)
