❖ A fewExperiments have been carried out
➢ An Egyptian pharaoh named Psammetichus Psamtik carried out an experiment
with two babies depriving them of human contact. They uttered the
word bekos bread’ in Phrygian language.
❖ Experiment of King James IV of Scotland
➢King James the Fourth of Scotland did a similar experiment and
the kids were reported to speak Hebrew.
❖ Conclusion
➢These traditions and experiments suggest that language came from a divine or
supernatural power (GOD). But different religions have their own beliefs about
origin of language. This theory was ultimately rejected because it lacks universal
acceptance across cultures.
