The Jamia Islamia was converted into a chartered University as
"Islamia University of Bahawalpur" in 1975.
The University has six campuses. Abbasia ,Khawaja Fareed ,
Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus, and are located in Bahawalpur.
Three Sub campuses are located in Bahawalnagar, Liaqat Pur
and Rahim Yar Khan.
129 Number of Departments, offering more than 300 disciplines.

Software Engineering started in Spring 2020.
It offer BS and MS in Software Engineering to fulfill the
needs of rapidly growing demand of Software
development in the national and international market.
Department of Sofware Engineering have total 2500
Students enrolled in BS and MS Program with a ratio of
60% Male and 40% Female.

Harrasment, Provoke to bycott, impersonation or any other
misconduct or malpractice in university premises will cause
fine upto 5000 and cancellation of all papers of current
semester and disqualification for two semesters.

The Incharge of Academics and Timetable in the Department of Software Engineering is responsible for
designing and managing the academic curriculum, as well as creating and maintaining efficient timetables to
ensure a structured and organized learning experience for students within the department.

Responsible for official matters in the Department of Software Engineering manages correspondence,
notifications, and administrative documents, ensuring timely communication and record-keeping to facilitate
efficient departmental operations and compliance with official protocols.
