The Organizational Change Report is due in Week Six.
Focus of the Organizational Change Report
Submit an eight to ten page paper (excluding appendixes, cover page, abstract, and references). The report should focus on a topic or concept in the course that has proven to be especially interesting to you. An outline of the chosen topic will be presented to the instructor in Week Three for review and approval.
Writing the Organizational Change Report
The Organizational Change Report:
· Must be eight to ten double-spaced pages in length and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the approved style guide.
· Must include a cover page that includes:
· Title of Paper
· Student's name
· Course name and number
· Instructor’s name
· Date submitted
· Must include an abstract after the title page according to APA style in the approved style guide.
· Must include an introductory paragraph with a succinct thesis statement.
· Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
· Must include citations to references that support the assertions made in the paper.
· Must conclude with a restatement of the thesis and a conclusion paragraph.
· Must use APA style as outlined in the approved style guide to document all sources.
· Must include, on the final page, a Reference List that is completed according to APA style as outlined in the approved style guide.

Mergers, takeovers and acquisitions are common terms used in the world of business. It is important for people to properly understand these terms so as to safely handle such situations in their business endeavors. Mergers, takeovers and acquisitions can lead to the expansion of a business when handled appropriately as shown below:
I. Mergers, Takeovers and Acquisition Definitions and their effects in the world of business.
A. What is a Merger? A situation where two companies with related goals are combined.
B. What is a Takeover? Explain what a takeover is. One company buys the majority shares of another company.
C. What is an Acquisition? Explain what an acquisition is with an example.
II. What do Mergers, Takeovers and Acquisition entail?
A. Situational circumstances that can lead to Mergers, Takeovers and Acquisitions. Give practical examples.
B. Ways of Business Evaluation, Exit Planning and Takeover Target Identification. Explain each way outlined.
III. Legal formalities behind Mergers, Takeovers and Acquisitions
IV. Sealing Deals in Mergers, Takeovers and Acquisitions.
A. How to Negotiate. Involvement of lawyers.
B. Finding Finance. Borrowing from financial institutions with low interest rates.
C. Type of investments to look for. Those which are profitable and less risky to the business.
V. Managing Mergers, Takeovers and Acquisitions.
A. Managing the Risk of your Deal.
