Oral Presentations
                   Ms. Feliciano
        Expectations: L/S.10.3
“Learn from yesterday, live for today,
hope for tomorrow.”- Albert Einstein
 Presentations are a brief discussion of a
focused topic delivered to a group of
listeners in order to impart knowledge.
 They are similar to essays. They both
have an introduction, main body and
  conclusion.

Oral Presentations
 Preparation is the key to giving an
  effective presentation and to controlling
  your nervousness.
 Prepare an outline of your topic with the
  main points.
 Know your topic well.
 You will be the one expert on the topic in
  the classroom.

Preparation
 Practice giving your presentation.
 Speak out loud and time yourself.
 It is absolutely important that you adhere
to your time limit so time yourself when
  you practice your presentation.

Practice
 Begin your presentation by telling your
audience what your topic is what you will
  be covering.
 Speak in a clear, audible voice. Loudly
enough to be clearly heard in the back
  row.
 Make frequent eye contact with the
  audience. Engaging them directly with
  your eyes shows you’re confident.

Delivery
 Keep visual aids simple.
 Make sure they relate to your topic.
 Know how to use your props and engage
  them properly.

Props

officially designated the month of February as
    Black History Month.
 Other countries around the world, including
Canada and the United Kingdom, also devote
