2. THE ISSUE
Looking back to the bleaker days of colonization,
racism, riots and annexation we feel a sense of
liberalization, a sense of freedom.
 But the question that haunts us and which we
try to bury in our covert self is that, is it all over?
 Maybe not. In today’s more liberal world, we are
still faced with the issue of gender
discrimination.


3. THE PRESENT SITUATION
India, rich in culture, values, color and grace
stands proud on the pillars of its tradition.
 But this tradition sometimes obstructs the very
development we desire.
 World changed, globalization happened,
education became the new mantra and we saw
women taking a step ahead.
 But this small step has still not been able to
bridge the huge gap due to the orthodox mindset
of our society.
 The need of the hour is to gradually move our
society from this stereotypic thinking.


4. THE SOLUTION
The key word for development is awareness - for
both men and women
 Women should be educated about their rights
and men should be aware that they stand in an
equal footing with the other halves.
 This awareness can be created by bringing a
change in the education system.
 Children need to be taught that the difference
between men and women are accidental, not
essential.


really influenced my thoughts on this plan.
 MIT’s theory on leveraging the social business
phenomenon can be implemented in the plan to
enhance the curriculum.
 Additionally, further analysis and research on
big data repository can help in using technology
to making the plan successful.
 I realize my prior experience in technology like
big data in addition to my further exposure to
business education in MIT can help make this
plan a reality.

