Abstract : In the recent years, the Home Automation systems has seen a rapid changes due to introduction of various wireless technologies The explosion in the wireless technology has seen the emergence of many standards, especially in the industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) radio band. ZigBee is an IEEE 802.15.4 standard for data communications with business and consumer devices. Zigbee is targeted at applications that requires low data rate, long battery life, and secure networking. Zigbee has a defined rate of 250 kbits/s, best suited for periodic or intermittent data or a single signal transmission from a sensor or input device. The wireless home Automation systems is supposed to be implemented in existing home environments, without any changes in the infrastructure. The automation centers on recognition of voice commands and uses low-power ZigBee wireless communication modules along with microcontroller. This system is most suitable for the elderly and the disabled persons especially those who live alone and since recognize voice so it is secure. The home automation system is intended to control all lights and electrical appliances in a home or office using voice commands. 2. Opticon strongly believes in Dynamic Product Signage - a combination between
Electronic Shelf Labelling (ESL) & Digital Signage. Electronic product promotion
from the entrance in a shop until the specific product itself and everything in
between. Opticon designs manufacturers and delivers an unique system from
screens dual sided over 80 inch till small sized price tags starting at 2 inch.
All displays are connected to the same network and the same content management
system which is connected to the back office system in the store, meaning that the
prices on the displays are always matching the prices on the screen. All the screens
have several monitoring functions like low power battery, out of range (wireless
network), back light defect etc.

> Network server
Software for this server can be delivered by Opticon or any other third party company supplying digital signage
software. Opticon RF network can be fully integrated, in third party software, by using an API. All displays in this
overview have a unique address in barcode. Content can be connected very easy by scanning this address and
select the right product on the terminal or scan the article number on the product.
> Opticon - Access Point
Low power, 2.4 GHz network controller, to connect all battery operated displays (4) and 10 inch (5) full color
displays.
> Opticon - H32
The H32 (Windows terminal) can be used to connect the display (scan the unique address) and the product/content,
by scanning the barcode on the product or select it in the database on the terminal. The terminal can be used in a
wifi network or as batch terminal, by using a cradle connected to the back office computer.
> ePaper displays
Battery operated, fully graphical displays, using 2.4 GHz, 802.15.4, radio technology. Various sizes; from 2 inch up
to 10.2 inch.
> Power rail
A unique system, developed by Opticon, to apply power to full color displays. The length of the power rail can be
determined by the customer, including the location of the display, the amount of displays and the size of each
display, starting at 10 inch.
> WiFi - Access Point
Screens larger than 10 inch can be connected via direct Ethernet cable or via Wifi Access Point. This access point
can also be used for the terminal to set up and control the overall display network.
> 32”~55” displays
A wide range of various displays from 32 inch single sided up to 55 inch dual sided. Displays can be mounted in
the window, on a shelf, on a separate stand or on the ceiling.
> 70” and bigger
Starting from 70 inch, single or dual sided, displays are controlled by an individual computer.
