3. 400’000 Years ago...
... the emergence of language for the first time allowed exchanging
thoughts and ideas between individuals
4. 40’000 Years ago...
... the emergence of writing for the first time allowed storing thoughts and
ideas across generations
5. 500 Years ago...
... the emergence of printing with moveable types for the first time
allowed multiplying thoughts and allowing others to build upon each
other’s thoughts and ideas
6. A few years ago...
... the emergence of the internet for the first time allowed anyone to have
access to a potentially global audience.
7. A few years ago...
... especially the web 2.0 gave people the possibility to retrieve as well as
create content. It brought the dialogue back into mass communication.
8. What does it mean to
be in the middle of
this paradigm change?
23. As the internet changes how we
communicate, we need equally
new ways of building trust.
24. Conclusion
The Internet becomes less about technology and
more about humans communicating in new ways.
Threats/Risks: If we focus too much on technology
we tend to forget humans. This can turn us into
mindless robots that don’t trust each other.
Opportunities: If we focus on humans being
connected new ways, we start to see the real
potential of the current revolution where
communication changes us all for good.
25. Thank You.
