7. Back Wash
Back Wash dilakukan apabila:
• Perbedaan tekanan inlet dan outlet naik 15%.
• Flowrate turun 15%.
• Turbidity outlet naik.
Prosedur:
- Flowrate Backwash sesuai “service rate”.
- Lama waktu backwash + 15 menit atau
hingga bersih.
- Rinsing selama 10 menit atau hingga bersih.
8. ULTRA FILTRATION (UF)

20. EFM & CIP
Chemical cleaning can be performed in two ways:
1) EFM (Enhanced Flux Maintenance) :
short term, frequently with dilute chemicals (every 2 days with 500 ppm NaOCl)
2) CIP (Cleaning In Place) :
long periods, infrequently with high concentration of chemicals
(every 1 month (or TMP 1.5~2bar) with 2,500 ppm NaOCl + 1% NaOH and then 1% Citric Acid)

31. Fiber breakage repair
Remove the module from the unit, and remove the cap on the module‘s permeate outletend.
Fit an O-Ring onto the module end face on the permeate side. Pour clean water (e.g., permeate) onthe
permeate end of the module until water completely covers the surface.
32. Fiber breakage repair
Check the air bubble using air pressure supplied from feed side.
Insert (hammer in) the nail to a depth of about 1cm and then cut offit.
Re-check whether air bubble occurs or not.
33. Fiber breakage repair - Precaution
