Revitalizing Corridors Through Rehabilitation of Commercial
Properties

2. This book contains previous select grant projects assisted through the
program. The images provide recipients an idea of what a limited budget and
various resources can produce to improve a community.

4. The Operation Facelift Program
provides funding for small
businesses in select target
areas. Since 1998, grants have
been provided to restore the
exterior façade of innercity
businesses.

5. From it’s inception until 2015,
the program has provided over
$1 million in façade grants,
created 3,471 jobs and
leveraged $128 million in private
funding.

8. Project Description: Awning, Wood, Paint, Pressure Wash
Total Cost: $31,000
Grant Amount: $15,000

9. Project Description: Stucco, Tile, Lighting, Signage
Total Cost: $ 112,000 with three units
Grant Amount: $45,000 (each unit received $15,000)

10. Project Description: Awning, Resurface Doors, Paint, Tile Base, Stucco, Lighting,
Sign clutter removal
Total Cost: $19,750
Grant Amount: $19,000

11. Project Description: Awning, Resurface Doors, Paint, lighting, Sign clutter removal,
new signs. Collaboration with TCI for right of way.
Total Cost: $20,043
Grant Amount: $19,000

12. Project Description: New doors and windows. Stucco mansard for signs. Owner
refinished parking lot, added signs to doors and windows.
Total Cost: $30,000
Grant Amount: $18,000
