soon as it comes up it's going to
be thrilling.
The music is quite tense and
eerie which is a convention of
thriller movies which gives us the
feeling that the film is about
something inhuman and ‘out of
this world’.

3. The introduction to jurassic world
shows off the big bulky name
which also uses dark colours like
black and grey to express the
action-thriller genre. The use of
the creature's hand in the
background gives of the sense
that the movie is about
something inhuman.

4. The opening starts off showing an
egg starting to hatch and a creature's
claw and eye is visible. This is
effective as we start to see a creature
but we can't be sure of what it is
exactly. This makes the audience
wonder what it is and it provides a
counter-type as dinosaurs are seen
as dangerous and scary but this one
is a baby thats hatching and can't
possibly be dangerous. It also fits into
the conventions of a thriller as we
start to introduced the antagonist and
how it's inhuman.

5. This frame is effective because it shows
a creature's foot and it looks pretty big
and the sound effectives of the
stomping noise makes us wonder what
it is. This makes the audience excited
as it could be a dangerous dinosaur but
we then come to realise its just a bird
which makes the audience’s suspense
build to an anticlimactic reveal. The
birds shadow is also a convention of
thriller films as the use of shadows
illustrate something bigger than us and
scarier.

6. in this frame we see an
establishing shot of a house and
a packed car. this tells us that
they are maybe moving out or
going somewhere but with the
snow in the background it would
likely illustrate that they are going
on a holiday.
the bright colours are a counter of
thriller films but it could also be
used to show the audience that
everything is normal now but later
it might not be

7. In this frame we see someone looking at
pictures of dinosaurs. This gives us, the
audience, what the film is going to be
about. as we hear the clicking sounds we
realise that it's a toy where you can see
these pictures. This tells us a bit about the
character before we see him. We
understand that it's a kid and that he likes
dinosaurs and toys.
The picture is of two dinosaurs fighting.
this could hint to the audience that there
could be a battle somewhere in the film.
