Name choice
We chose the name Duke of Arabia as we feel that it represents our sequence
nicely. This is as a Duke is a male that hold the highest amount of power and our
opening scene is based around a man who is the main protagonist of . We used
the word Arabia as our film is set in the middle east. Furthermore, Arabia used to
be an all ruling empire that isn’t really talked about.
The name for our production company is “Luna productions”. The reason for
this choice of name, is because “Luna”, is moon in russian. The moon is a
mysterious object which only shows at night and this creates questions and
suspense. This is why the production name will suit with our opening sequence
due to it being mysterious and questionable.
What is it about
An individual is awoken with his struggle to sleep. The viewers are left in the
dark and left with a lot of questions about the man creating an enigma
surrounding him. He then moves to the desk holding his cigar and has flashbacks
of his past and events that keep him up at night. The reader's then sees brief
flashbacks of some events that took place that led to his inability to sleep. We see
the character in fast paced car chase scenes and fast paced action scenes.
Inspirations
Fast And Furious
1. We used this movie as an inspiration to our opening sequence because fast
and furious is based around cars and gun fight as well as drama, which is
what we are planning for our opening scene. We are planning on to use the
same camera angles that the movie has used when filming cars and car
chases.

Target Audience
Our primary target audience is teenage males to young adult males aged 13-30
located primarily in the US and the UK. These individuals who fit into our
category will be our primary consumer of our opening sequence. They may
relate to the character or aspire to be like the main protagonist. This includes;
lots of fast paced action scenes, violence, danger and fast/luxury cars. Our
secondary target genre is the general public. This was revealed through our
surveys, we have found that the action genre doesn’t only appeal to males in our
age demographic, but to people of all ages. We have also found that not only
males, but females like action films as well. This is as they may watch our film as
a source of diversion and an escape from reality. Our film will be PG 13 so people
below the age of 13 will not be able to access our film
Genre
The genre of our film is Action/Adventure, this will be evident as many
conventions used in this genre will be displayed in our opening sequence,
through the music, editing, shot types and many more features. For example,
our music used will be up paced, with a sense of suspicion and orchestral action.

Technical Considerations
For our camera shots we plan on using wide shots to give the actors space to
move within the shot, without having the camera to follow them. We will also
include establishing shots to establish the building and location before it cuts
into the interior office. For example, the establishing shot would help the
audience understand where the film is set, and the medium shot will also be
included. It usually shows a character from belly button to slightly above the
actors head, For example, we’d use the shot when our antagonist is holding
something in the frame or elaborating with his hands.
Logistics
Cast: Liam Shannon as the protagonist (Troy Garner) and Alhadi Sharif as the antagonist (Abanus Claus)
Camera crew and directors: Nader Tabka and Beibars Sey
Locations: Al qudra (desert location) , Jumeirah Park , Studio City
Characters
Liam Shannon (Troy Garner)-He is the main character of the film. Troy Garner
is involved in several car chases and he will be the main character who will be
driving the car. He wears a black suit with black leather shoes and a versace
robe. He is a serious character with some to no emotions.
Alhadi Sharif (Abanus Claus)- He is the antagonist, but he is only featured in
only one of the scenes. He wears a red suit, and black shoes. The reason he wears
the color red is to symbolise evil and death, the suit also makes the audience
portray him as rich, and idolize his money which leads him to do anything he
desires. No matter good or bad.
Sounds we will use
Our opening scene creates suspense and makes the audience question a lot of
different things. We are using calm and mysterious sounds for our sequence.
-Heavy breathing (for the main protagonist)
-Gun shot (When the antagonist points his gun to the main protagonist)
-Cars racing and reving (for our car chase scenes)
-Slow and steady music (to create more suspense)
