RM Sudhakar's Synopsis on IT for SMEs, Jain University, August 2013. STUDY ON...Dr. RM Sudhakar
TITLE OF THE STUDY: STUDY ON OPPORTUNITIES, CHALLENGES AND COST-EFFECTIVE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PRACTICES FOR SMALL & MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES. A RESEARCH SYNOPSIS SUBMITTED TO JAIN UNIVERSITY FOR
THE DEGREE OF DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY IN MANAGEMENT. BY RM SUDHAKAR.
Information Technology (IT) is even now termed as a costly affair especially in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), this is primarily because no clear definition of the expectation from the implementing companies. If IT is affordable for some companies, then the question is how to make best use of IT, and adoption strategy is a real challenge, and moreover, the success ratio or maximum utilization in most of the IT implementations is less than 50%. In today’s competitive world IT is no more an option, it is a necessity and the winners are those who make good use of these IT technologies in the current competitive and un-certain business.
IT is no more an option for Business including SMEs!
The aim of this research is to identify the key challenges of SMEs to gain excellence in their domain and how adoption of IT can help them to achieve the same. Also this study aims at simplifying the IT implementation practices in most affordable & a cost-effective way.

APIdays Mediterranea: APIs for Mobile Solutions. Context-Aware Apps: a busine...SOLUSOFT.ES

Sergio Alcalde's presentation on APIdays Mediterranea 2014, Head of the R&D department of Solusoft.

Current apps interact with users in the same way as their predecessors: i.e. like web and desktop applications. However, in terms of enhancing user experience and in order to make such interaction easier and more profitable, apps should require less user interaction, understanding that user context combined with information about users is more important than any direct interaction with the app. Creating this kind of application entails new technological challenges for developers and there are several products on the market that publish services via APIs to facilitate these tasks. In this paper we will see an overview of a state of the art ecosystem: Context-aware and proactive apps and APIs (MBaaS and MADP) on which are being developed solutions relating to, Smart Cities, The Internet of Things and AAL (Ambient Assisted Living), plus we will also review the great business opportunities these represent.
You can watch Sergio Alcalde's speech in APIdays Mediterranea at the end of the presentation.

For most brands, 2020 was all about survival and building out the basics of their eCommerce operations. Though 2021 was tough for many of them, eCommerce still opened new doors for brands that are here to stay. In 2021, they finally had a chance to come up for air and push the envelope into new areas – embracing newer types of commerce and investing in up-and-coming eCommerce platforms.
Digital transformation is helping retailers to stay ahead in the game, with new technologies being introduced and implemented. To ensure that businesses are well positioned for 2022, e-merchants must catch the latest trends in eCommerce, and really learn ways to adapt to these changes.
We believe our eCommerce report could be a trusting source that helps businesses strengthen their place in this competitive industry, and thus grow and flourish in 2022.
