• The purpose of this booklet is to present the best strategies that can
be used in the academic environment, when it comes to learning
and teaching in other languages, in this case in English, focused or
English for specific purposes, these strategies can be maybe used
as tools for studying and solving the main problem that arises when
speaking in the same, which results in implementing guidelines to
improve and achieve this.
• Improve language, vocabulary and speech mainly, it is what is
needed to express ideas, to communicate in these environments, as
many of the resources used academically require the acquisition of
communicative competence.
• This being very important factor we chose the strategies that we
think are the most useful, to develop communication skills
necessary and appropriate to achieve in this language.

understand the meaning of sentences,
give understanding to the readings, no
doubt is a great option to help students

Newscasts
News rather contribute to the
development of the student
listening, understanding of
sentences in the development
of communication and
information of different events,
accents from different regions
are also very important to
identify and obtain a fluid
understanding.

Journals
This tool is motivating for students
because they know about issues
that are for them so striking for
famous example singers, technology,
movies, etc. that attract the student
invites him to develop and answer
questions they have about certain
issues and get knowledge more
practice in the English language.

Singing in English (English Karaoke):
English pronunciation is much more
complicated to learn the pronunciation
of Spanish, so for example the vowels
in English can have what we call "long"
or sounds "short" sounds. When a
vowel is a "long" sound, the vowel
"says his name" (pronounced like the
name of the letter), so this practice
helps a lot in the pronunciation of
students, phonics is important in the
development of language to identify
words, verbal contractions, to identify
main ideas of what is unfolding.
