One Direction is a boy band consisting of Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, and Niall Horan, who are all around 20 years old. They met while competing as solo artists on The X Factor in England, where Simon Cowell saw their potential and formed them into a band. Though they did not win the show, they became very famous worldwide after releasing hit pop songs like "What Makes You Beautiful" and "Kiss You", as well as slower songs such as "One Thing" and "Little Things." They have toured globally and gained many fans while establishing themselves as a popular musical group.
