One Direction is a British-Irish boyband formed on the British X-Factor consisting of members Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles. They applied as solo candidates but were rejected and put together as a band, reaching the final and taking third place. The band went on to sign a record deal, release multiple singles and books, and launch limited edition phones featuring their content.

2. One Direction is a British-Irish boyband. The
members are Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Niall
Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles and
they sing pop music. The band was formed in
the seventh series of the British X-Factor. They
all applied as solo candidates to the
competition, but were rejected to qualify for the
"Boys" category. After a suggestion by one of
the jugdes Nicole Scherzinger, the five hotties
were put into a band, qualifying to the "Groups"
category. One Direction reached the final and
took the third place. The song "Forever Young"
would have been released if they have won the
X-Factor.

3. The band signed a 2 million pounds contract
with Syco entertainment. They participated in
the X-Factor Live Tour from February-April. The
tour consisted of multiple stops within the UK
and Ireland.
Their first single was released on September
2011 and performed for the first time on the
show "Red or Black?". The song it's called
"What makes you beautiful" and recieved in 7
minutes the top position of the UK Hits. The
second single has came out on November 2011
and the title is "Gotta be you".

4. One Direction has already three licensed books
: "One Direction : Forever young (Our Official X
Factor Story)", "One Direction : The official
Annual 2012" and " Dare to Dream : Life as
One Direction".
The boys became on April 2011 the brand
ambassadors of "Pokemon: Black and White"
and also launched the limited edition of Nokia
C2-02 and Nokia C3-00 phones. They contain
walllpapers and many other gadgets with One
Direction.

5. Liam Payne was born on 29th of August 1993
in Wolverhampton, England. He auditioned to
the X-Factor twice. On the first audition he was
rejected because he wasn't ready yet.
Zayn Malik was born on the 12th of January
1993 in Bradford, England. He is of Pakistan
descent.
Louis Tomlinson was born on 24th of
December 1991 in Doncaster, England. He is
the oldest one but the most childish.
Niall Horan was born on 13th of September
1993 in Mullingar, Ireland.
Harry Styles was born on 1st of February 1994
in Cheshire, England. He's the youngest one.
