As we observed the playtests, we noticed that there was different styles to which the players adopted throughout the game. We made up personas to characterise these different playing. Player Personas http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_48yUccSz7Vk/TD8-ix_RftI/AAAAAAAAAkI/YNCGGSUjHvo/s1600/world_of_warcraft-persona.jpg
Reckless with money. Buys everything in sight! Usually can’t do anything after a couple of goes. Time is money, wants to win the game as fast as they can! Player Persona 1: ‘ THE BIG $PENDER ’ http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr58/CRAZWALT/burning-money.jpg
VERY careful of their money, somewhat shy with it. Rarely buys property, unless it is very cheap. Buys the odd henchmen. A sitting duck pretty much! Player Persona 2: ‘ The Hoarder ’ http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS0FDGjQGNawvKOvYwLZdBx1GbxECMjjhUkxYyGiaVR_82J-B_4
Focuses all spending on buying henchmen. Allows the opposition come to them! Keeps home territories well protected. Does not engage in mass expansion of gangland territory. A stubborn Mule! Player persona 3: ‘The General’ http://www.freeinfosociety.com/media/images/1442.jpg
Usually the player that encompassed facets of all three of the player personas won the game: In buying the just right amount of properties (without being too reckless). Being careful with your money, but at the same time putting some aside for henchmen. Having the home territories well protected from gangland attacks. With all these qualities, a player can achieve O merta and become ‘ The Don’ ! Player persona 4: ‘The Don’ http://chubbyfingers.files.wordpress.com/2011/07/the-godfather-marlon-brando-9109847-1191-842.jpg
