The Next Move - Delivering a World-Class Programme
Oldham CCG Recommendation
1. To Whom It May Concern – regarding Kush Sharma
Kush worked for Oldham CCG between June and September 2016 as part of the CCG’s programme
of support for the International MBA programme through the University of Manchester.
Oldham CCG supports this programme as we have found that the students have a high level of
experience and skill in management of specific change projects and that they are able to bring a
fresh perspective from their previous experience with working with different public and non-public
sector organisations.
Whilst on paid placement with the CCG Kush worked for the CCG’s Managing Director and Director
of Performance and Delivery with a specific remit to explore different business models for
accountable health and care management organisations, to analyse this information and to make
recommendations to the CCG regarding how these findings might inform the development of the
future development of an Integrated Care Organisation in Oldham.
Kush successfully completed the objectives of his placement and presented his findings to the
CCG’s Governing Body in September 2016. The information presented has proven to be useful in
enabling the CCG and its partner organisations to explore how different organisations have
developed and to apply the learning from this where possible.
During his time with Oldham CCG we have found Kush to be hardworking, objective focussed and to
work effectively within the allocated time frames and project brief. He has brought a level of
objective analysis to his work and enabled the CCG to explore new and differing perspectives.
Kush has also worked well within the CCG’s governance structure and during his time with us was
able to build effective working relationships with the CCG and its staff and also with key
stakeholders.
