Initial Identification
When you hear the word "college," you might picture students hanging out in their dorm rooms or packing into large lecture halls for their studies. However, when more and more learning methods are made possible by technology, that representation is dated more and more. Indeed, the popularity of online and distant learning among college students has consistently grown, but does that indicate it's a good fit for you? To help you respond to that question, spend some time contrasting traditional versus online schooling. Since both traditional and online learning have benefits and drawbacks, students should be prepared before entering the classroom (or logging in). This head-to-head comparison concentrated on three crucial components that affect a student's experience. We'll also examine the advantages of "mixed learning" in more detail.
The project encourages Macomb Community College to increase the number of classes it provides to students, both in the physical classrooms and online. College is a time for self-discovery, and there is no better way to figure out one's capabilities and areas of interest than by enrolling in a wide array of subjects during your time there. Macomb analyses data on student learning to pinpoint areas that could benefit from altered rules and procedures. In order to improve the college's Academic Mobility Policy, data on student success is used. This policy establishes a procedure for ensuring that students are enrolled in the proper classes. The set course prerequisites must be met by all students enrolling in English composition, mathematics, reading, and English for Academic Purposes (EAPP) courses. The college has a "mobility period" in place to make sure that students are adequately positioned for success in these foundational courses. Math and English are the subjects where mobility happens the most frequently. As a student, I have participated in a diverse range of classes, and I never stop being astonished by the extent to which the topics overlap.
The Center for Teaching and Learning used the assessment results to provide additional opportunities and resources to support faculty initiatives to integrate communication-based teaching methods into their lessons. On the Macomb Community College Portal, a page titled "Using Assessment Results" was made with resources highlighting communication strategies faculty members can use. Workshops highlighting methods for assisting students in becoming successful researchers, thinkers, and writers in the disciplines were available as professional development opportunities. A book discussion on John C. Bean's book Engaging Ideas - The Professor's Guide to Integrating Writing, Critical-Thinking, and Active Learning in the Classroom was also provided by the Center for Teaching and Learning (2011). The focus of the faculty discussion was developing stimulating writing and critical thinking exercises and approaches.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

5. STUDENTS NATIONAL COUNCIL
The First phase of the plan is setting up of the
Students National Council which will function as a
platform for representatives from all campuses to
network and exchange ideas on how to improve
the MSA network. The S.N.C shall comprise of a
representative from MSA clubs in every major
university. This phase is already completed

SUB COMMITEES
7. The council during its first meeting shall meet and
elect those who shall serve in the executive
board. The executive board shall serve as the
functional unit of the S.N.C and shall execute the
work of the S.N.C. The board shall comprise of
the Vice chairperson, the secretary general, Chair
events committee, chair membership committee,
and chair special projects committee. These
committees will draw members from the S.N.C
and the MSA clubs as long as they are members
M.S.K. Students Strategy Plan
8. STUDENTS NATIONAL COUNCIL
The Student representative shall serve as the
chairperson of the S.N.C. And the S.N.C executive
board.
M.S.K. Students Strategy Plan
9. The Mentorship program
The mentorship program is meant to expose students to
the marketing professional by partnership programmes
between companies and Individual marketing societies,
where a company is attached to a university’s marketing
society. This will ensure all MSA clubs that every month
they have a mentoring session where they get to interact
with professionals and learn from them. They will also
benefit from internships and also having strong referees
on their contact list.
M.S.K. Students Strategy Plan
10. .The Mentorship program
The MSK will acquire these partnerships with these
companies on behalf of the students and will utilize the
vast portfolios of the members of the MSK board. This
process is already on-going.
M.S.K. Students Strategy Plan
11. THE EVENTS CALENDAR
This is a very crucial part of the plan because of three
reasons
It is an engaging activity which adds value to the
students
It provides students who participate in organizing the
event the experience in managing events and this
adds weight to their resume.
It provides a revenue stream to The M.S.K
The students events calendar shall begin in June and
end in March. The pilot project is to have 3 to 4 student
M.S.K. Students Strategy Plan
12. Students Networking
The first step for this will be to increase active student
members to the MSK .we target 20 new members from
each MSA by July when most campuses will have
resumed. This will be facilitated largely by the S.N.C.
The second step will be to get students to participate in
MSK events like the MSK Gala and other events The
students should receive special discounts to enable
them attend. By placing them in such situations we hope
the students will get more involved in MSK and they will
join as full members once they leave campus.
M.S.K. Students Strategy Plan
13. Students Networking
Students should also get involved in writing in the sokoni
Magazines. The sokoni magazine doesn’t have a
students section and We believe it is important for
students to be given an avenue to also express their
views. This will also give them exposure to the
marketing professionals who read the magazine. We
hope to have a student section by the July August issue.
M.S.K. Students Strategy Plan
14. Jobs and Internships
The outright purpose of every student to join MSK will
be to get a job. As much as it may be near impossible to
get every student who joins MSK a job we can certainly
try with the very active ones. Students can receive
internship opportunities and will also get called up for
quick jobs like promotions which allow them to make
some money and also add to their resumes. These small
jobs will hopefully give them an edge in the job market.
M.S.K. Students Strategy Plan
15. Training and development
This is something we hope to implement in the near
future because we feel that it is an avenue that has not
been taken into consideration. The idea is to one day
have MSK offer short but intensive training programs
specifically for students. This courses should not mirror
those offered in school because that would mean we are
competing with schools’ curriculum. The aim is to
complement what is offered in class by making it as
practical as possible by putting students in real
marketing situations. This is something that obviously
requires a lot of thought and planning and will take
M.S.K. Students Strategy Plan
16. Before the AGM , there shall be an evaluation of the
progress made , the impact it has had on the
students and MSK in general. A report shall then be
compiled reflecting the past and the way moving
forward.
