This document describes different grades of essential oils and their uses. Therapeutic grade oils are pure and safe for internal consumption. Natural/food grade oils are organic but may contain some chemicals. Perfume grade oils contain chemicals and solvents and are altered or extended. Low quality oils are synthetic and used in hair and skin products rather than medicinal applications.
