The document discusses dynamic cables and connection systems for floating offshore energy converters. It notes that offshore wind farms are typically fixed to the seabed in shallow water, but floating platforms will be needed in most places where the continental shelf is deeper than 45 meters. The systems developed include high-dynamic offshore cables to maximize lifetime, hybrid power and optical connectors, and an automated connection system using a ROV. Simulations and testing of the dynamic cables and connectors have been performed.

2. Dynamic Cables systems for floating Off-shore Energy converters
Today Off-shore Wind Farms are developed on shallow
water with turbines fixed on the sea bed.
Continental platform is deeper than 45m at most places in
the world, then floating platform will be necessary.
3. Dynamic Cables systems for floating Off-shore Energy converters
Floating platforms will be arranged in radial arrays delivering
energy to a Hub (typical 33 kV)
In order to be ready for this emerging market we have already
developed:
• High-dynamic off-shore cables to ensure the maximum life
time to ensure that cable will perform as expected.
• Hybrid (Power + Optical) Medium Voltage Wet Mateable
connectors.
• Automated connection system with a proprietary ROV.
