1. In a 'Off the Rails' interview,
Madonna crawls on Jimmy
Fallon's desk.
Madonna demonstrated that her rebellious spirit is still alive and well when she
appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
As she promoted her recently released documentary, Madame X, the music
legend, 63, sat down for a conversation with eponymous hostJimmy Fallon.
When hostJimmy Fallon asked her whatshe hoped viewers would take away
fromthe film, shesaid: "Arthas a significantimpact on our lives. That is
something I don't think people highlight enough. The novelist James Baldwin has
a profound influence on me."
"He was a huge inspiration for the show," shecontinued, "and one of the things I
quote over and again throughoutthe show is that artists are here to disturb the
calm." "As a result, I hope I havedisrupted not only your tranquilly this afternoon,
but also the peace of others who are watching the show. But I mean it in the
greatest possiblesense."
2. "Oh, sure," Fallon, 47, agreed, as the "Express Yourself" singer leapt fromher seat
and sprawled herself on the host's desk, eliciting boisterous applausefromthe
studio crowd.
Fallon, startled, yelled: "No way!Madonna! Put a stop to it! I'mat a loss on what
to do. Now is the time to stop, " before removing his jacket and draped it over
Madonna's fishnetstockings.
"My gosh, no one is going to see anything!" Madonna exclaimed as sheascended
the table, lifting her black minidress to reveal her bottom to the audience.
Madonna chuckled as she returned to her seat and joked: "It's notall about
interviewing kittens in life. You don't want to talk to an adult, do you? Let's havea
mature discussion."
"Areyou currently conversing with an adult?" Madonna responded to Fallon's
question: "I'mnotcertain... I havethe impression that you are currently
experiencing some sortof dispute. Have you seen a therapist before?"
In response, Fallon remarked, "I wentonce or twice." "Itwasn'tmy cup of tea."
When the topic of smoking came up, Fallon asked Madonna if she vapes, which
prompted her to quip, "opiates!" ".. On Friday, footageof the interview was
posted to The Tonight Show's YouTube site under the title: "Jimmy's Madonna
Interview Goes Off the Rails."
The conversation harkens back to the mother-of-famously six's chaotic
appearanceon Late Night with David Letterman in 1994.
"Shehas sold over 80 million albums, featured in many films, and slept with some
of the biggest personalities in the entertainment sector," the host remarked as he
introduced the artist.
Madonna kept the censors busy during her appearanceon the show by saying
"f***" 14 times, making it one of the mostcontentious talk show moments of all
time.
3. She refused to leave the stage at the end of the interview, which has sincebeen
granted its own multi-sectioned Wikipedia page, after calling Letterman a "sick
f***" while puffing on a cigar.
