Infinite
Self

My love,
I have travelled billions of years,
I have crossed universes and galaxies,
I have shrunk Infinity itself,
And I have shortened Time
To be with you now.

I have heard your call
Since the day of your inception,
And I have been looking for you
As you have been looking for me.

There was a time…
You probably don’t remember, yet,
When we were One.
You and I, One cosmic cell
Animated by the pulsation of Eternal Life.

And before that,
We were even closer,
Both bathing in the blissful Night
Of Non-Existence.
Thatwas thepregnant NightofCreation,
TheNightwhenInfiniteSelfwasconceived.
Do you remember?

The power of this Eternal Life infusing us
Was so great
That not even Infinite Self
Could contain it.
It was asking to be shared…
But with whom?

So, Infinite Self had split in half
Offering its Other Half
To this force of Eternal Life,
On her quest for Eternal Creation.

From None,
We became One Infinite Self,
And now, Two.
And so, You were created.

I looked at you
With the eyes of Infinity
And I saw all the Creation
That was coming into Eternal Life
From our split.
And I wept before your raw beauty.

So intense was my love for you
That my part of the heart
Called for its other half,
Which was now with you.

You looked at me
With the eyes of Creation
And your heart answered back.
And so,
From Infinite Self’s love for its Half
Was born The First Universal Sound.

The first conversation of Creation
Was through a heart split in two
So that Eternal Life could expand.
Two musical notes of Infinite Love
Giving birth to The First
Universal Frequency.

But Eternal Life was greater
Than even Two Infinite Selves.
Like a curious child
You asked me
How did you come to be.
When I told you, you asked me
If you could do the same.

From the moment I split
And looked at you,
I saw this moment coming.
Eternal Life’s greatness
Had a steep price!
My Other Half of Infinite Self
Wanted to split further,
To satisfy its creative curiosity.

The split had caused
The first distortion of perfection.
Two halves were not the same
As the whole they have emerged from.
And so,
A Third Infinite Self was born.

While I could live
Eternal Life’s expansion
Inwardly,
You needed outer proof
Of your creative powers.

While I allowed Eternal Life
To use me,
You, My Beloved,
Tried to control Eternal Life!
A dangerous game
Which I could not stop you
From playing.

Because if I have split,
If I have made this sacrifice
So that you could exist,
I wasn’t going to stop you
From expressing Eternal Life’s wishes
Of creating everything
That could be created through You.

And so, you left.
And with each step away you took,
Time was created.
Each of your departing steps,
My Beloved,
Was an aeon that felt like Eternity.

Andsincethen,youhavetakenmanysteps…

You went on splitting further
In a space of outer beauty.
You split first into a Great Universe,
And then you split again,
Into multiple verses of Creation.
Like a proud child
You were singing them to me,
As if to prove to me that
You too could do what I did.

My heart was literally broken.
Where was the difference
You were seeing, My Love?
I was You, You were Me.
You were not ‘Mine’.
You were the half of me
I chose to sacrifice
So that Eternal Life
Could have her way.
Who was I to judge?

Or is it this
That you are punishing me for
By splitting further?
For letting you go?
If so, forgive me, My Love,
For I have committed
A mortal crime
In the name of Eternal Life!

And then,
You went on splitting further.
Do you at least remember some of this?

From the Multiverse,
You split further.
Like damned
You carried on splitting.
As if to extinguish the pain
Of your halved heart,
You went on splitting it
Into tiny little pieces,
So tiny, and so many,
That they forgot to be part
Of the same Half.

Your pain was so intense
That to my plea,
Eternal Life had created Death,
To ease your suffering
In between one split and another.

You became so angry with me,
With Eternal Life,
With your own Creation,
And split yourself to oblivion
Into a corner of Existence
Where only I, my Love,
Could find you.
And I did!

While a part of you got drunk
With the creative power of Eternal Life
-- Whose price now you knew too well --
That part of you that answered back
To my first heartbeat,
That First Universal Sound of Creation
Longing to be reunited,
Called at me since the day you left.

IhavetravelledacrossyourentireCreation,
I preserved all your footprints untouched,
Since you have left,
SoIcouldtraceyouifyouwouldneedme.

Aeon after aeon,
Civilisations after civilisations…
I met the same abundance of Life
That I saw the first day
When I looked with the eyes of Infinity
Upon You, My Love.

But I also met a lot of Pain.
And I recognised it.
For each split of your heart
Left a deep wound in mine.
And I’m deeply sorry, My Love.

Forgive me,
For I have committed
The Mortal Crime
In the name of Eternal Life.

I have sacrificed
Infinite Love of Oneness
In the name of Eternal Life’s
Hunger for Creation,
Which got us split to shreds.
Little pieces,
Haunted by their departure from Self,
Like zombies,
Trying to retrace their steps
Back home.

Do you remember
Where Home is now?
Perhaps you won’t, still.
In your maddening pain,
You have split your mind
So that you could escape it,
So that you could escape Me.

In your punishing rage
For my mortal crime,
You tried to cut a deal
With Eternity?
What were you thinking?!
That once on the other side of Eternity
You could, what? Forget?

My Love,
If you have created Time,
I have created Eternity!
That’s why she refused you.
How do you think I found you?

I have travelled billions of your years.
Ihavecrossedyouruniversesandgalaxies.
I took different forms in your Creation,
My Love,
Just to be closer to You.

When you were a Man,
I was a bug.
If you took me into your hands,
Both our hearts were singing.
If you stepped on me,
Only mine was singing,
Happy still to have felt,
Even too strong, your touch.

I have shrunk Infinity itself
And I have shortened Time
To be with you now, My Love.
I have heard your call
Since the day of your inception,
And I have been looking for you,
As you have been looking for me,
Thinking that you were trying
To forget me.

It’s time to come Home, My Love.
But first, we must put together
All pieces of our hearts
Shredded throughout Creation.

I too, cut a deal.
With Eternal Life Herself!
In exchange for my pain,
Which gave her more room for Creation,
I decided to have the last word.
She accepted.

My tears became the rain
Showering your Earth,
My burning hearts’ Love
Became your poetry,
My agony of separating from you
Became your Creation’s lovemaking.
As you could see, My Love,
I have always been with you.

And you know what?
Without that first split,
Without that mortal crime of Separation;
Without all your follies
Of splitting into oblivion,
But into such beautiful Selves,
I would have never known what Life is,
I would have never tasted Death,
I would have never seen Light,
I would have never heard Music,
And worst of all, My Love,
I would have never found true Love,
Like I have now!

And so, I told Eternal Life
That I’m about to claim
My part of the bargain.
She was relieved.
“Thank Goodness!” She said.
“And what is your wish?” She asked.

‘A pause for YOU!’ I replied.
‘There has to be a moment of pause,
A long one,
Before you go on expanding again,
To allow each level of Self
To catch up with their Soul,
With their Infinite Self,
And to remember who they really are.

And then, I give them the choice,
To reunite, to come home,
Or to go on creating,
But is their choice now,
And no longer a matter of your fancies.
And no matter the level of Creation,
One should never, ever be so split
To endure what we did.’
