Deep ocean trenches pose extreme environmental challenges for humans with immense water pressure, total darkness, and cold temperatures approaching those in outer space. The deepest a human has visited is 35,838 feet for only 20 minutes in 1960. Special equipment like the JIM suit allows humans to reach 600 meters, but the immense water pressure affects circulation and respiration, risking overcooling, irregular pressure, decompression sickness, and hurts the overall circulation process. Proper clothing like the JIM suit and equipment like the submersible Shinkai are needed to explore these extreme deep ocean trenches.
