This study examined the prevalence and characteristics of traumatic dental injuries among 9-12 year old Arab Israeli schoolchildren. A sample of 4,262 schoolchildren were clinically examined between 2012-2015. The overall prevalence of traumatic dental injuries was found to be 12.2%. Males experienced a significantly higher prevalence (8%) than females (4.2%). Enamel fractures were the most common type of injury. The prevalence of injuries was highest in 9 year olds and declined with increasing age. Males generally experienced more severe injuries than females. This cross-sectional study provides data on traumatic dental injuries among schoolchildren in the Arab Israeli community.

Agenesis, the absence of permanent teeth, is a common occurrence among dental patients. The total incidence of tooth agenesis is about 4.2% among patients that are seeking orthodontic treatment and with the exception of third molars, the maxillary lateral incisors are the most common congenitally missing teeth with about a 2% incidence. The maxillary lateral incisor is the second most common congenitally absent tooth. There are several treatment options for replacing the missing maxillary lateral incisor, including canine substitution, tooth-supported restoration, or single-tooth implant. Dental implants are an appropriate treatment option for replacing missing maxillary lateral incisor teeth in adolescents when their dental and skeletal development is complete. This case report presents the treatment of a patient with congenitally missing maxillary lateral incisor using dental implants. The paper discusses the aspects of pre-prosthetic orthodontic diagnosis and the treatment that needs to be considered with conservative and fixed prosthetic replacement.

Abstract: Traumatic dental injury (TDI) in school children has become a serious dental public health problem in developing and developed countries. Worldwide research clearly shows that the prevalence of TDI is increasing.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to clinical compare without use radiograph film in comparing between groups of boys and girls which complain of traumatic fracture of anterior permanent teeth in enamel and dentine reigns with or with out Pulp rom records of patients aged 9-12years.
Design: A descriptive cross-sectional survey in Arab Israeli schoolchildren between 2003-2015.
Subjects: A sample of 4262 ,Arab Israeli schoolchildren (2344(55%)) males and 1918(45%)) females) aged 9-12years ,were interviewed and examined between 2003-2015in different dental private clinics in Israel.
Results: Among the 4262 schoolchildren examined, 520(12,2%) had experienced traumatic dental injuries (TDIs). Males had experienced a significantly higher prevalence of trauma 340(8%) than females 180(4,2%) .
Conclusion: Overall traumatised permanent incisors were found to occur fairly
frequently with males having experienced significantly more TDIs than females. Theprevalence of TDIs in Arab Israeli schoolchildren was 12,2%; enamel fractures were the most frequently observed injury and falls were the leading cause of trauma.

This study analyzed 66 patients with mandibular fractures to determine patterns and epidemiology in Lucknow, India. The highest percentage of fractures occurred in patients ages 21-30, who were predominantly male. Road traffic accidents were the primary cause, with the parasymphysis as the most common fracture site. The most frequent fracture combination involved the parasymphysis and subcondyle. While most fractures occurred singly, the number of fracture sites correlated with younger and older age groups.

- Traumatic injuries to primary and permanent teeth are common, with maxillary central incisors most frequently affected. Injuries range from enamel fractures to luxations and avulsions.

Background: Traumatic dental injuries are common in children, and they are often associated with facial fractures in road traffic accidents. Boys sustain dental trauma almost twice as much as girls. The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of traumatic dental injury among 8-12 years old Sudanese children. Materials and Methods: A cross sectional school based study for 813 school children (395 boys and 418 girls) 8-12 years old were selected from private and public primary schools for assessment of traumatic dental injuries according to Ellis classification and the causes of trauma were studied. Data was collected by visual examination and no radiographs were taken. Chi-square test was used to test association between the different variables. P-value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: High prevalence (27.9%) of traumatic dental injuries was observed in this study. Boys and girls were more or less equally affected (48.6%, 51.4%) respectively. Falling was the most common cause (14.1%) while the least common one was road traffic accidents (0.6%). Tooth fracture was the most frequent type of tooth injury reported in the current study (13.3%). Conclusion: The prevalence, type and most common causal factors of traumatic injuries to the maxillary anterior teeth in Sudanese schoolchildren 8-12years old was approximately the same as that found in other countries.Traumatic dental injuries

Vertical root fracture
This document discusses vertical root fractures, including their definition, classification, etiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and prevalence. A vertical root fracture is a longitudinally oriented complete or incomplete fracture that originates in the root. Premolars are the most susceptible teeth. Risk factors include endodontic treatment, posts, and excessive forces from trauma or heavy chewing. Clinically, a vertical root fracture may cause vague pain, a sinus tract, or a narrow isolated periodontal pocket. Radiographs may reveal a J-shaped radiolucency or separated root segments. Diagnosis is based on clinical history and examination, as well as radiographic findings. Vertical root fractures account for 3-20% of extracted teeth.
Surgical-Orthodontic Treatment of Impacted Canines
The main purpose of our study is to present the corrective movement of impacted canines using various surgical-orthodontic techniques Materials and method: Eighty-two impacted maxillary canines in 2200patients were included in the study and were observed for 2006 to 2013 ,in Center for Dentistry research and Aesthetics, Jatt/Israel after exposure. Following exposure by means of a palatal flap or an apically repositioned buccal flap, an orthodontic traction hook, with a Titanium Button with chain by Watted (Dentaurum) attached, was bonded to each impacted tooth using a light cured orthodontic resin cement. For this study we used only the batch of patients who presented upper impacted canine. Depending on the clinical status, we used the following surgical techniques: repositioned flap, gingival translation flap, window flap method and local mesh application. After surgery for 39 patients we considered that canine traction with an orthodontic device was necessary in order to obtain a vertical position of the teeth. The orthodontic systems used were: fixed orthodontics, with a Titanium Button with chain by Watted (Dentaurum). Results and discussion: We used the repositioned flap for 39patients with deep impacted canines in order to uncover the teeth and to bond an auxiliary orthodontic device, the gingival translation flap for 27 patients with superficial impacted canines: 10cases with apical translation and 2 with lateral and apical translation. The window flap was used for 22 patients with palatal impaction. After surgery all patients continued orthodontic treatment in order to correct every dental malposition and to obtain a neutral occlusion with esthetical, functional and stabile results.

outcomes are made achievable by the placement of implants. A multidisciplinary team approach involving the
triad of orthodontist, periodontist and restorative dentist will ensure the successful completion of the integrated
treatment approach in these patients. The present case report achieved successful implant based oral
rehabilitation in a patient diagnosed with congenital absence of bilateral maxillary lateral incisors utilizing a
preprosthetic orthodontic implant site preparation for the purpose of space gain.

This case report describes the delayed multidisciplinary management of an intrusively luxated maxillary lateral incisor in an 18-year old patient. The tooth was diagnosed as non-vital after being intruded 1 month prior. Root canal therapy was performed, followed by orthodontic extrusion over 4 months to reposition the tooth. Finally, the tooth was restored with a post, core, and porcelain crown for esthetic and functional rehabilitation. The report emphasizes the need for a multidisciplinary approach involving endodontics, orthodontics, and prosthodontics to successfully treat complicated dental trauma cases.

- The document describes three cases of patients with multiple impacted supernumerary teeth. Case 1 involved a patient with bilaterally impacted premolars and one horizontally impacted tooth. Case 2 had numerous impacted supernumerary teeth in both jaws. Case 3 had 6 impacted supernumerary teeth, four in the maxilla and two in the mandible.
- Supernumerary teeth can cause complications like impaction, delayed or ectopic eruption, and cyst formation. Treatment depends on the type, position and complications of each supernumerary tooth.
- The cause of supernumerary teeth is unclear but believed to involve both genetic and environmental factors. They are more common in men and the maxilla.

The objective of the present study was to determine the prevalence of impacted maxillary canine in patients in Arabs
Community in Israel (ARAB48,Israel) visiting our Center For Dentistry,Research & Aesthetics,Jatt,Almothalath,Israel,
4250 patients . This study comprises data from patients who attended the O.P.D.2200 patients between Jun. 2006 to Dec
2013. Patients were examined in order to detect the impacted maxillary canines by intraoral examination, palpation, dental
records and followed by radiographs. It was found that the prevalence of canine impaction was 0,8 % (N=4250), 1,6
(N=2200), 43,9 (N-82) in males and 1,1% (N=4250), 2,1 (N=2200), 56,1 (N-82) in females suggesting that prevalence of
impacted maxillary canines is more in females than males and it is statistically significant. The overall prevalence for
maxillary impacted canines was found to be 3,7 % (N=2200) which suggested that it is much higher than previous studies.
The results of this study were slightly different than other studies, while the dissimilarities may be attributed to the sample
selection, method of the study and area of patient selection, which suggest racial and genetic differences.

Incidence Of Canine Impaction In Palestinian
This study aimed to determine the prevalence of impacted maxillary canines in the Palestinian population visiting a dental center in Israel between 2006-2013. The researchers examined 4250 patient records and found an overall prevalence of impacted canines to be 3.7%, higher than previous studies. Specifically, the prevalence was 0.8% in males and 1.1% in females, suggesting a higher rate in females. Most impacted canines were palatally positioned. This study analyzed 66 patients with mandibular fractures to determine patterns and epidemiology in Lucknow, India. The highest percentage of fractures occurred in patients ages 21-30, who were predominantly male. Road traffic accidents were the primary cause, with the parasymphysis as the most common fracture site. The most frequent fracture combination involved the parasymphysis and subcondyle. While most fractures occurred singly, the number of fracture sites correlated with younger and older age groups.
Traumatic injuries in pediatric dentistry
- Traumatic injuries to primary and permanent teeth are common, with maxillary central incisors most frequently affected. Injuries range from enamel fractures to luxations and avulsions.
- Epidemiological studies show that approximately 1/3 of children experience dental trauma to primary teeth and 1/5 experience trauma to permanent teeth. Injuries most often occur from falls at home for young children and from sports for adolescents.
- Proper classification and diagnosis of dental injuries is important to determine appropriate treatment and management. Conditions range from concussion with no displacement to intrusive luxation with tooth displacement into bone.

Background: Traumatic dental injuries are common in children, and they are often associated with facial fractures in road traffic accidents. Boys sustain dental trauma almost twice as much as girls. The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of traumatic dental injury among 8-12 years old Sudanese children. Materials and Methods: A cross sectional school based study for 813 school children (395 boys and 418 girls) 8-12 years old were selected from private and public primary schools for assessment of traumatic dental injuries according to Ellis classification and the causes of trauma were studied. Data was collected by visual examination and no radiographs were taken. Chi-square test was used to test association between the different variables. P-value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: High prevalence (27.9%) of traumatic dental injuries was observed in this study. Boys and girls were more or less equally affected (48.6%, 51.4%) respectively. Falling was the most common cause (14.1%) while the least common one was road traffic accidents (0.6%). Tooth fracture was the most frequent type of tooth injury reported in the current study (13.3%). Conclusion: The prevalence, type and most common causal factors of traumatic injuries to the maxillary anterior teeth in Sudanese schoolchildren 8-12years old was approximately the same as that found in other countries.Traumatic dental injuries

Vertical root fracture
This document discusses vertical root fractures, including their definition, classification, etiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and prevalence. A vertical root fracture is a longitudinally oriented complete or incomplete fracture that originates in the root. Premolars are the most susceptible teeth. Risk factors include endodontic treatment, posts, and excessive forces from trauma or heavy chewing. Clinically, a vertical root fracture may cause vague pain, a sinus tract, or a narrow isolated periodontal pocket. Radiographs may reveal a J-shaped radiolucency or separated root segments. Diagnosis is based on clinical history and examination, as well as radiographic findings. Vertical root fractures account for 3-20% of extracted teeth.
Surgical-Orthodontic Treatment of Impacted Canines
The main purpose of our study is to present the corrective movement of impacted canines using various surgical-orthodontic techniques Materials and method: Eighty-two impacted maxillary canines in 2200patients were included in the study and were observed for 2006 to 2013 ,in Center for Dentistry research and Aesthetics, Jatt/Israel after exposure. Following exposure by means of a palatal flap or an apically repositioned buccal flap, an orthodontic traction hook, with a Titanium Button with chain by Watted (Dentaurum) attached, was bonded to each impacted tooth using a light cured orthodontic resin cement. For this study we used only the batch of patients who presented upper impacted canine. Depending on the clinical status, we used the following surgical techniques: repositioned flap, gingival translation flap, window flap method and local mesh application. After surgery for 39 patients we considered that canine traction with an orthodontic device was necessary in order to obtain a vertical position of the teeth. The orthodontic systems used were: fixed orthodontics, with a Titanium Button with chain by Watted (Dentaurum). Results and discussion: We used the repositioned flap for 39patients with deep impacted canines in order to uncover the teeth and to bond an auxiliary orthodontic device, the gingival translation flap for 27 patients with superficial impacted canines: 10cases with apical translation and 2 with lateral and apical translation. The window flap was used for 22 patients with palatal impaction. After surgery all patients continued orthodontic treatment in order to correct every dental malposition and to obtain a neutral occlusion with esthetical, functional and stabile results.

dentition. With the advent of implants in the field of restorative dentistry, a stable and predictable fixed
prosthetic replacement has become a reality, especially for young adult patients who suffer from congenital
absence of teeth. The dual goals of establishment of functional stability as well as enhancement of esthetic
outcomes are made achievable by the placement of implants. A multidisciplinary team approach involving the
triad of orthodontist, periodontist and restorative dentist will ensure the successful completion of the integrated
treatment approach in these patients. The present case report achieved successful implant based oral
rehabilitation in a patient diagnosed with congenital absence of bilateral maxillary lateral incisors utilizing a
preprosthetic orthodontic implant site preparation for the purpose of space gain.

Delayed multidisciplinary management of an intrusively luxated maxillary late...
This case report describes the delayed multidisciplinary management of an intrusively luxated maxillary lateral incisor in an 18-year old patient. The tooth was diagnosed as non-vital after being intruded 1 month prior. Root canal therapy was performed, followed by orthodontic extrusion over 4 months to reposition the tooth. Finally, the tooth was restored with a post, core, and porcelain crown for esthetic and functional rehabilitation. The report emphasizes the need for a multidisciplinary approach involving endodontics, orthodontics, and prosthodontics to successfully treat complicated dental trauma cases.

- The document describes three cases of patients with multiple impacted supernumerary teeth. Case 1 involved a patient with bilaterally impacted premolars and one horizontally impacted tooth. Case 2 had numerous impacted supernumerary teeth in both jaws. Case 3 had 6 impacted supernumerary teeth, four in the maxilla and two in the mandible.
- Supernumerary teeth can cause complications like impaction, delayed or ectopic eruption, and cyst formation. Treatment depends on the type, position and complications of each supernumerary tooth.

The objective of the present study was to determine the prevalence of impacted maxillary canine in patients in Arabs
Community in Israel (ARAB48,Israel) visiting our Center For Dentistry,Research & Aesthetics,Jatt,Almothalath,Israel,
4250 patients . This study comprises data from patients who attended the O.P.D.2200 patients between Jun. 2006 to Dec
2013. Patients were examined in order to detect the impacted maxillary canines by intraoral examination, palpation, dental
records and followed by radiographs. It was found that the prevalence of canine impaction was 0,8 % (N=4250), 1,6
(N=2200), 43,9 (N-82) in males and 1,1% (N=4250), 2,1 (N=2200), 56,1 (N-82) in females suggesting that prevalence of
impacted maxillary canines is more in females than males and it is statistically significant. The overall prevalence for
maxillary impacted canines was found to be 3,7 % (N=2200) which suggested that it is much higher than previous studies.
The results of this study were slightly different than other studies, while the dissimilarities may be attributed to the sample
selection, method of the study and area of patient selection, which suggest racial and genetic differences.

Agenesis, the absence of permanent teeth, is a common occurrence among dental patients. The total incidence of tooth agenesis is about 4.2% among patients that are seeking orthodontic treatment and with the exception of third molars, the maxillary lateral incisors are the most common congenitally missing teeth with about a 2% incidence. The maxillary lateral incisor is the second most common congenitally absent tooth. There are several treatment options for replacing the missing maxillary lateral incisor, including canine substitution, tooth-supported restoration, or single-tooth implant. Dental implants are an appropriate treatment option for replacing missing maxillary lateral incisor teeth in adolescents when their dental and skeletal development is complete. This case report presents the treatment of a patient with congenitally missing maxillary lateral incisor using dental implants. The paper discusses the aspects of pre-prosthetic orthodontic diagnosis and the treatment that needs to be considered with conservative and fixed prosthetic replacement.

Traumatized anterior teeth with subgingival fractures of crown are a challenge to treat. This paper reports the man¬agement of subgingival fractures of crown of the maxillary central incisor in an 29 year old female. The technique described here involves the use of fixed appliance, post and core with a loop fabricated on it for retention of fixed appliance.

Incidence Of Canine Impaction In Palestinian
This study aimed to determine the prevalence of impacted maxillary canines in the Palestinian population visiting a dental center in Israel between 2006-2013. The researchers examined 4250 patient records and found an overall prevalence of impacted canines to be 3.7%, higher than previous studies. Specifically, the prevalence was 0.8% in males and 1.1% in females, suggesting a higher rate in females. Most impacted canines were palatally positioned. The results differed slightly from other studies, possibly due to differences in sample selection, study methods, and patient populations examined. Accurate assessment of an impacted canine's position is important to determine the appropriate treatment approach.
