39. Over 35,000 applications were received from over 200
countries, and the tourism board chose 16 finalists
(including one chosen by an on-line vote).
Finalists came from Australia (two), United States (two), United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland,
the Netherlands, Germany, New Zealand, Taiwan, India, China, Japan, France and South
Korea.

At the time, Ben raised money for charity, and he was an

their tourism, so they offered him a full-time job as a
“Tourism Ambassador” for Queensland.

to visit in Australia.
He even did a 6-episode guide to Australia for the National
Geographic Channel.
He even wrote a book about his experience!
