2. This is a
meaningful
occupation to me
as I have been
playing this for 13
years . This is a
part of who I am
and I will continue
to play this sport in
the future. While
playing I have
had many roles
including captain
and coaching
which has led to
development of
me as a person.
3. Being an
Occupational
therapy student is
part of my identity as
it is what I am doing
with my life in the
present. I believe that
it is important as my
future goal after
studying is to be a
qualified
occupational
therapist.
4. Going out fishing
is part of my
identity as I have
been going out
with my dad ever
since I was little. I
will continue to
go fishing over
my life as I enjoy
doing it and
spending time
with my dad
5. Badminton is a past
occupation that I used
to participate in
regularly for 3 years.
Over the 3 years I
would play for a club
and also represent
southland in my age
group for south island
competitions.
6. Over the summer and holidays I have worked at Calvary rest home.
While working there I would care for the residents and help the nurses
out when required. While there I have formed many relationships with
the residents as well as the other people who work at Calvary
7. Basketball shows my past identity as it provided me with social
interactions with my team mates and friends who come along and
supported the team. I participated in an occupation that I enjoyed
doing with friends and who I liked to socialise with.
8. Being a flat mate is part of my current occupational identity
as I am living independently with a group of friends where I
have shared responsibilities.
9. Swimming is part of my identity as it is important for me to be able to
swim long distances confidently. By being able to swim means that I
am able to go out on the boat and swim in the lake and beaches
over the summer months with my family and friends
10. Throughout my
life I have made
many new friends
from kindy,
primary school,
high school, at
polytech, jobs
and through
other people. I
value my
friendships as
they are the ones
that I participate
in most
occupations with.
11. I am a sister, cousin, daughter, granddaughter and
aunty. These are important as I value my family and
spending time with them. Being in my family provides
me with a sense of belonging
