Development and Inclusive Tourism
Tourism now represents a major driving force for development. Local hospitality, authentic culture,and
friendly people are key.
Tourism increases the inclusive relationships with companies in addition to enabling people with disabilities.
It stimulates the community with a new spiritsand generates new perspectives on marginalized
and underserved segments of society.
Topics
The Forum will discuss Accessibility & Citizenship along three different axes:
1. Inclusive Tourism as a tool to support local development.
2. Accessibility in the social, cultural and environmental aspect of urban and rural life.
3. Legal Aspects in the daily life of PwD.
1. Linking Brazilian and international laws with approaches from other nations.
2. Speakers presenting case studies in order to promote Inclusive Tourism in Brazil.
Objectives and Outcomes
The Forum will discuss Accessibility & Citizenship with four objectives:
1. Identify successful experiences related to accessibility and citizenship.
2. Bringing together experts to discuss the issue.
3. Determine regional priorities.
4. Develop recommendations that may contribute to desired outcomes of existing projects, programs, and
education.
The Forum will discuss Accessibility & Citizenship anticpating four outcomes:
1. Mapping and identification of successful cases.
2. Listing priorities for regional or isolated actions aiming toward their integration.
3. Identification of marginalized and underserved areas.
4. Strengthen supportive actions within the Tourist Trade.
