2. INTRODUCTION
President Barack Obama
recently departed India after
a three-day trip that included
two milestones:
He became the first American
president to visit India twice in
his term .
The first to be the chief guest at
India's Republic Day parade.
3. As Obama said at the US-India Business
Council Summit, "the fortunes of the United
States and the fortunes of India are
inextricably( impossible to separate) linked.“
Obama said the United States could be
India's "best partner" as he wrapped up a
three-day visit by highlighting the shared
values of the world's biggest democracies.

Implementing the Civil Nuclear Agreement
It seems India and the US may finally be on the
cusp of implementing this agreement, which was
made eight years ago.
Though this agreement US companies will take
advantage of the opportunity to invest in India.
The agreement also addresses climate change
goals by expanding India's capacity to produce
other forms of energy and opens up opportunities
for economic growth.
5. Trade and Economics
It is the foundation of the relationship between
India and US ie trade and economics.
Though an area of great promise, it is often
measured by how much further there is to go.
6. Combatting Climate Change
India has become third largest carbon emitter
but says it is too soon to enforce a cap
The US is also keen to press ahead with
developing India’s clean energy infrastructure, an
area which Delhi is keen to make a priority,.
Mr Obama wants India to agree to support a
carbon emissions deal ahead of global climate
talks in Paris at the end of the year.
7. US announces $4 billion of new initiatives,
trade missions
Obama announced $4 billion of new initiatives
aimed at boosting trade and investment ties as
well as jobs in India, and opened up a whole new
source of financing for social development
ventures in the country.
The $4-billion deals include $2 billion of leveraged
financing for renewable energy investments in
India through the USTrade & Development
Agency and $1 billion in loans for small and
medium businesses across India through the
Overseas Private Investment Corporation`
8. Obama assures on concerns over H-1B visa
issue
Obama has assured PM Modi that he will look into
India's concerns on the H-1B visa issue as part of
his comprehensive immigration reform,
Obama told Prime Minister Modi that his
administration would be in touch with the Indian
government on issues related to H-1B visas,
popular among Indian techies
9. Joint production on 4 defence projects
Renewing their expansive defence framework for
another 10 years, India and the US decided to kick
off joint manufacturing of four relatively modest
military products and explore the development of
two more high-end technologies
