This document presents a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis of notched canard arrangements in supersonic cruise missiles, focusing on their heat dissipation rate and rotational stability. The study compares two canard models, revealing that the notched canard design leads to better thermal management and improved performance at supersonic speeds. The results, derived from simulations using software like Gambit and Fluent, indicate enhanced aerodynamic stability, suggesting significant implications for missile design in operational contexts.
