The Art.Write.Now.2015 National Exhibition was co-sponsored by the Sheila C. Johnson Design Center at Parsons School of Design at The New School, Pratt Institute’s Pratt Manhattan Gallery, and received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, Blick Art Materials and Utrecht Art Supplies. The exhibition featured award-winning artwork from the 2015 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and was on display from June 5-14 at Parsons School of Design at The New School and Pratt Institute's Pratt Manhattan Gallery.

The greatest person of ukraine
Mykhailo Petrovych Drahomanov was a prominent Ukrainian political theorist, historian, and public figure from Kyiv in the late 19th century. He was born into a noble Cossack family and studied at several schools in Ukraine before lecturing at Kyiv University from 1870 to 1875. This presentation will share key themes that emerged through consultation, the Gallery’s engagement strategy towards 2021 and case studies of hugely successful projects such as Art Pathways and the Home Aboriginal Art project.

Melissa Naude was selected as the overall winner of the exhibition for her work in jewelry.

Museum of one of street
The One Street Museum in Kiev has been exploring the history of the Andreyevsky spusk street for fifteen years. Though small, it has become one of the most popular museums in Kiev through its extensive collection of historical documents, photographs, antiques, and objects that immerse visitors in the nostalgic atmosphere of the past. The museum illustrates how prominent figures from Ukrainian and Russian science and culture lived in the densely populated street in the late 19th century, as if these historical neighbors still reside alongside one another. In 2002, the One Street Museum was nominated for the European Museum Forum, making it the first and only Ukrainian museum to participate in this international organization.

MDC Museum of Art + Design and CINTAS Foundation Announce 2014-15 50th Jubile...
The Miami Dade College Museum of Art + Design and the CINTAS Foundation have announced the 2014-15 50th Jubilee CINTAS Foundation Fellowship Competition in Architecture. The competition serves to promote and support Cuban artists from around the world. Winners will be announced in October at the MDC Freedom Tower. The CINTAS Foundation has supported over 21 architecture fellows since 1963 and maintains a collection of their works.

The One Street Museum in Kiev has been exploring the history of the Andreyevsky spusk street for fifteen years. Though small, it has become one of the most popular museums in Kiev through its extensive collection of historical documents, photographs, antiques, and objects that immerse visitors in the nostalgic atmosphere of the past. The museum illustrates how prominent figures from Ukrainian and Russian science and culture lived in the densely populated street in the late 19th century, as if these historical neighbors still reside alongside one another. In 2002, the One Street Museum was nominated for the European Museum Forum, making it the first and only Ukrainian museum to participate in this international organization.

The competition serves to promote and support Cuban artists from around the world. Winners will be announced in October at the MDC Freedom Tower. The CINTAS Foundation has supported over 21 architecture fellows since 1963 and maintains a collection of their works.

This article provides summaries of two current exhibitions at the Fuller Craft Museum - the 2014 Biennial Members Exhibition and Crafting A Collection, which highlights recent acquisitions. Miami, April 1, 2015 – The Miami Dade College (MDC) Museum of Art + Design and the CINTAS Foundation have announced the ongoing 2015-2016 CINTAS Knight Foundation Award in Visual Arts.
All submission materials must be received by Wednesday, July 1, 2015.
Marking its 51st year, the one-of-a-kind competition serves as a platform to promote and support visual artists, writers, architects and composers of Cuban descent from across the globe. The Collection has grown to be one of the largest bodies of Cuban art outside of Cuba and continues to grow each year with each new fellow.
“CINTAS Fellows are found represented in all major museums, as well as in important private and corporate collections throughout the world,” said CINTAS Foundation Board President Hortensia E. Sampedro.
In addition to supporting Cuban artists, many early in their careers, the CINTAS Foundation also maintains a growing collection of works by past awardees and other esteemed Cuban artists.
Past Visual Arts Fellows include:
Guillermo Calzadilla, in collaboration with the artist Jennifer Allora, produce community collaborations, instllatins, photograpy and sculptural work. Allora and Calzadilla represented the United States in the 2011 venice Biennale.
Carmen Herrera was one of Cuba’s first abstract painters. Herrera has exhibited widely in various solo and group shows, including the Outside Cuba exhibition. Herrera's pieces are in many museums and collections, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York; the Tate Modern in London; the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis; the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C.; El Museo del Barrio in New York; and Havana's Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. She is the winner of a Creative Artists Public Service Award (CAPS) in New York.
The late Félix Gonzáles Torres represented the USA in the 52nd Venice Biennale. He also had solo exhibitions at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York; the Brooklyn Museum; the Museum of Modern Art in New York; the Museum in Progress in Vienna; the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles; the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C.; and the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.
The late Carlos Alfonso was represented in the Outside Cuba exhibition and the Cuba-USA: The First Generation traveling exhibition. He has also been the subject of several solo exhibitions in institutions such as the Pérez Art Museum Miami, the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art in North Carolina, the Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach and the Hal Bromm Gallery in New York.
Teresita Fernández has had solo exhibitions at Castello di Rivoli in Italy, the Masataka Hayakawa Gallery in Japan, the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., Deitch Projects in New York and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami. She was also appointed by President Barack Obama to serve on the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts.

The document announces an exhibition titled "The Sum of Many Parts: 25 Quiltmakers from 21st-Century America" that will tour throughout China from 2012 to 2014, starting in Shanghai on September 7th. The exhibition features 25 contemporary quilts from American artists representing the Midwest, South, and Hawaii. The Elko New Market Chamber of Commerce held its first annual Student Art Crawl in May 2016. Over 400 community members attended to view artwork from 131 students displayed at six local businesses. Judges awarded prizes to the top three elementary, middle, and high school submissions. The first place high school winner was Carly Madigan for her drawing titled "Years." Carly is a junior at New Prague High School who maintains a 3.98 GPA while participating in various activities, including show choir, hockey, tennis, and the National Honor Society. The Chamber was proud to award Carly its first $500 scholarship.

2016 SMAC Highlights
The Southwest Minnesota Arts Council awarded over $500,000 in 126 grants to organizations, schools, artists and communities in fiscal year 2016. This included operating support grants, equipment grants, individual artist grants, and grants for arts education. They also recognized two individuals with awards for their contributions to promoting the arts in the region. The Council provided technical assistance through workshops and meetings, hosted an artist retreat, and maintained an online presence to share information on arts opportunities. Funding came from various public and private sources.
