2. Parade of Fruits and Vegetables
March 22, 2023 7:30 – 10:30 a.m.
The goal of this activity is to instill in children the value of
eating fruits and vegetables as part of a regular diet to
promote eating healthy and staying healthy for proper mental
and physical growth.
4. 1. The Nursery to Grade 3 learners will represent the fruits or vegetables
of their choice. For Nursery to Grade 1, they will express this through
a headdress and for Grades 2 and 3, through a dress or costume.
2. To reduce food waste, learners are advised to use their ingenuity
instead of spending more money on actual fruits and veggies. Learners
are encouraged to make their headdress and costumes out of recycled
items.
3. Learners must wear school uniforms under their costumes.
4. The assembly place will be at 7:30 a.m. in the SLM lounge.
Guidelines and Criteria
5. 5. The parade will start from the SLM lounge. The learners will be
presented on stage of the SLM building. This will be followed by the
awarding ceremony.
6. Then 3 students per grade level will be selected to receive prize.
7. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

8. Healthy Salo-Salo Celebration
March 23, 2023
This activity encourages children to eat a variety of healthy food and
practice mindful eating habits. It also promotes a positive atmosphere
around food and eating, and encourage children to have fun and
socialize while eating.
9. 1. Students from Nursery to Grade 10 will bring their own healthy food
for snacks or lunch. They are encouraged to share their food with their
classmates.
2. It will be conducted inside the classroom during lunch break or snack
time.
3. If the class decides to have groupings in preparing and bringing
healthy food, the maximum contribution is Php 50.00 per student.
4. Students must also bring their own food container and tumbler to
avoid too much trash. Prepare also black bags for the trashes.
Guidelines and Criteria
10. 5. All students who will participate in this healthy salo-salo
will be given perfect score in one of their quizzes in 4th
quarter for HELE/TLE subject.
6. All classes are expected to observe proper waste segregation.
7. As stipulated in the Handbook 2018 p.63, item #4, the
school does not allow bringing of plastics, Styrofoam, and
other materials that are detrimental to the environment. The
guards on duty have the right to hold the materials at the
gate.
