2. SAFETY PLAN
1. Raw Material Handing
1.1 Cement: Cement is a Hazardous product, if it is touched by bare skin or if inhaled at the time
of cutting, Safety is ensured by training the personnel and providing them required PPE like
Nose Masks, Hand Gloves & Gum Boots. Care is taken to provide proper ventilation in
cement godowns
1.2 Fly Ash: Fly Ash is also a Hazardous product is inhaled at the time of cutting or blowing,
measures are taken to avoid any leakage at the time of blowing and required PPE like Nose
Masks are provided to the personnel dealing with Fly Ash.
1.3 Coarse & Fine Aggregates: The dust in coarse & fine aggregates is a hazard if it is inhaled, the
measures like sprinkling of water and covering of conveyor belts is required in addition to
the provision of required PPE like Nose Masks to the personnel at site.
1.4 Admixtures: Admixtures are also hazardous, if touched with bare skin, the MSDS of these
products are sought from the supplier and required Safety measures are taken.

2. Electrical Safety
All the required safety measures are taken to avoid any accident due to electrical
problems, proper training is provided to the personnel regarding the operation &
maintenance of electrical equipments in addition to providing them PPE like hand
gloves, Fire extinguisher etc. Proper Emergency Switches are provided at all critical
areas to avoid failure of overlap.
3. Fire Safety
Fire Safety is the most critical part of the safety management program, all the
workers are provided adequate training to avoid any fire accident and also to fight
fire at the time of any emergency. Fire Fighting Tools like sand buckets, water
availability , Fire Extinguishers etc. are available at all critical areas. An Emergency
Plan is prepared and an Assembly point is marked in the batching plant at the time
of any emergency.

4. House Keeping
House Keeping is a very critical point in Safety Management as the work site &
batching plant is well kept to avoid any accidents due to spillage of oil and debris
etc.
5. Machine Guarding
All the machines including batching plant are operated by trained and competent
staff to avoid any accident. All the required PPE are provided to the concerned
personnel. All the heavy equipment are guarded to avoid access to any untrained
personnel to avoid any accident.
6. Maintenance Yard
Maintenance yard are fully equipped with all safety equipment required. All the
workers are provided required training and PPE to avoid any accident.

5. SAFETY PLAN
7. Fleet Safety
All the transit mixers, loaders, pumps etc. which are going out of the site are regularly
checked for maintenance as per schedule and all the operators shall be checked for their
Driving License etc. Proper and regular training shall be provided to the operators to avoid
any accident. Necessary Reflectors, Rear and Side View Mirrors, Back Horns etc. are checked
in each trip prior to the loading.
8. Road Safety
Safety is to be ensured on roads within the plant as well as on transit routes and sites. The
drivers and operators are properly trained about the importance of safety and following all
traffic rules.
9. Site Safety- Pumps & Pipeline
The concrete once batched from batching plant is to be placed at site, at site all the safety
norms are followed, required PPE like Safety Belts (for works at height-Pipeline), Safety
Helmets, Safety Shoes and gloves are provided to the workers along with a proper training.
