Do we see God as a genie rather than who he really is? When we listen to our prayers, what is it that we hear? Do we hear ourselves usually saying, “I need this”, “I deserve that”, or “I want this”? Do we have an “ask and you will receive” mentality? Have our prayers become too self-focused?
Prayer is not about us but about the person we are praying to. Prayer is worship. John McArthur said "Prayer is first and foremost an act of worship." Think about it. Ponder on it. Let it change the way you pray. Lose yourself. Worship God in every aspect of your life.

It’s not about where we’ve been, it’s about where
we’re going. So when we move forward together around a mission, and we do something together, we move society forward.

Slaves of God — Well Done, Good and Faithful ServantDave Stewart
Matthew 25:21: To be transformed to the image of Jesus, who came as a servant, we must understand what it means to be a good and faithful servant. The parable Jesus demonstrates that both attitude and action must be transformed from a worldly way of thinking about our relationship with our Master. We are also warned of the danger of claiming Jesus as Lord, but not doing what he says. Again, borrowed thoughts from Darrel Yontz.

WHY LORD? I Are You Relentlessly Questioning God?
Have you asked God this question? "Why BAD things happened to GOOD people?" This is a common question reverberating across the planet coming from those people who are uncertain and questioning the character of God. But have you come across with this question, "Why GOOD things happened to BAD people?" Those people having the messed up and faulty concept of God see everything around wrongly to the point of blaming God for all the misfortunes that they are experiencing. Sometimes the FINITE creature would ask the INFINITE Creator, " I thought you are all-powerful, all-loving, all-wise, all-good, "Why all of these things happened?" In this topic we will go together exploring to have a glimpse of the INCOMPREHENSIBILITY of God. Some questions we will be answering is that, "How does God see us in the midst of our pains? What is in His mind? Hope to get your revelatory insight about this topic as we welcome you to engage by posting your opinions, ideas, suggestions on the comment section on our provided down below. Isaiah 59:14-20. Based on Sermon: Why Did God Deal with Sin? (Dave Stewart), 2014 January 26
The story of man is the story of sin. In this lesson we will examine sin and why a holy and loving God would deal with sin. For many of us, our first thought is that Jehovah dealt with sin because of His wrath. This seems to be an incomplete answer. Rather as a loving Father he dealt with sin to bring us back into a righteous relationship with Him.
Many of these thoughts were inspired and borrowed from Jim McGuiggan’s book: The Dragon Slayer, chapter 2: The Road leading to Bethlehem and Golgatha.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
